Asthma question
Do you take any antihistamines? Grass pollen is peak season and very high. Does your reliever inhaler ease your chest tightness? my hospital plan is a+e or call 999 if reliever inhaler lasts for less than 4 hours?
Hi Lee_vee11, just wondering if you might find it helpful to ring the AUK nurse helpline and discuss 0300 2225800 option 3 for nurses (M-F 0915-445)
😊👍
Hi Lee_vee11, I was changed onto Relvar 184/22 which is a combined steroid and ultra long acting reliever in November last year, it's a once a day dose. Also given Incruse 55 inhaler which is a different kind of reliever but long lasting(24hrs) and just taken once a day. Also on Montelukast at bedtime and Cetirizine during the day. It took a few months for my lungs to adjust but I rarely need any Ventolin these days. I have since been diagnosed with Bronchiectasis on top of the asthma, but the Relvar and Incruse certainly keep the asthma squashed!!!
