I’m Back
I haven’t posted anything for the last three months. I went on holiday and felt great, but lots seems to have happened since then. I have been having tests for my heart as I keep getting a sort of dizziness. Turns out my heart is fine and now they think it might be my ears so I am on anti-dizziness

Felt better then much worse? Please advise
Hypothyroid for around 2 years. Was stable on 50mcg levo ED for most of that time until about a month ago when my TSH rose to 130+ While my TSH was this high I genuinely felt like I was dying. Extreme disorientation, detached from reality, dizziness, lack of co-ordination ect. Been on the new 100mcg

I’m at a bit of a loss. Two weeks ago my PF was at 92%. Since then it has fluctuated dropping down then coming up a little then dropping again each day, 1 step forward then 2 back situation (still in my green zone). I’ve been a bit wheezy and mucusy over the weekend. I’m tight this morning, gunky and

1 step forward 2 steps back
Having been changed from Spiriva and Seretide to Spiolto and Clenil just over 2 weeks ago I had slightly improved after 8/10 days. Able to do a little bit more and recover quicker. Great thinks I, but be careful, don't push your luck. (you know what happens if you do). So having been gradually doing

Can’t shake off tight chest feeling despite good peak flow / inhaler use
Mystery catalysts to chest tightness... I’m 32 and I’ve had asthma most of my life. I smoked in my teens to mid 20s and didn’t look after myself (in terms of prevention/inhalers). Since moving to London a few years ago my asthma has exacerbated. I now look after myself - exercise where possible, use

Is Fostair causing extreme fatigue and aching all over my body.
My asthma nurse decided to change me to Fostair from seretide about 2 months ago following three really bad chest infections. Straight away I was more wheezy than usual and didn't feel right.Had a telephone appt with on of our GPs who asked me to persevere with it because he thought it would help me

Is my Peak flow high enough?
Just wanted to ask the community about PF. My peak flow is on average at 88%. I’ve read conflicting info about where it should be if control has been achieved. Some info is saying between 80-100% of PB is controlled while the impression I got from reading Asthma UK is that if it is less than PB you should

Inhaled steroids update
A few days ago I posted about how first Seretide and then Pulmicort both made me lose my voice and gave me a swollen throat. My doc took me off Seretide and I was now expecting Pulmicort to suffer the same fate. EXCEPT, I’ve discovered that if I drink half a litre of water after taking Pulmicort,

Relvar ellipta and Beclospin
Hi, I finally managed to contact my specialist and I asked him if I could change my meds since they're not working (seretide). He decided to give me instead Relvar ellipta and Beclospin. I don't know anything about these drugs however. How is relvar ellipta different from seretide ? I read that it

Seretide/Fostair
I have not been well for 6 weeks now after having been really well for quite few months. I have been on steroids that didn't work and have been checked out at hospital. Hospital consultant changed me from lansoprazole to omeprazole as acid reflux is a problem. When I was first ill the asthma nurse changed

Alternative for inhaled steroids
Hey, I recently stopped Seretide 500 (x2 daily) because it caused my throat to swell and my voice to disappear almost completely. My doctor started me on Pulmicort 200 (x4 daily) and to my disappointment, it seems to be going the same way. Does anyone know what the options are for non-steroidal treatment

Pulmicort vs Symbicort
I’m wondering under what scenarios a doctor might prescribe Pulmicort, instead of Symbicort or Seretide, as a preventer medicine. - thanks.

What could be the reason for steroids not working ?
Hi everyone, I've been using Seretide 250 (two puffs twice a day) for 2 months now and I still feel the same (using around 20 puffs of ventolin everyday, nebs 3 times a day). My symptoms are still there almost all the time : tight chest and struggle to breathe. The intensity of the symptoms vary throughout

Increasing seretide
Hi everyone, I'm sorry about having to post another question here but I'm really struggling at the moment. I woke up this morning feeling the same as usual (tight chest but I'm used to it now) but throughout the morning my symptoms increased a lot and now it feels like I'm having an attack though I'm

Unusual symptoms
Hi, My symptoms have worsened this week and today I have symptoms that I find extremely worrying. I feel an itching sensation in my upper chest as if there was an irritation or inflammation. What is weird is that it seems to irradiate in my right lung. And my right lung hurts when I take deep breaths

Fostair
For years and years, probably just after launch in 1998, I was transferred from Becotide to Seretide. My asthma nurse has changed me to Fostair, saying it's very good, the particles are smaller and the majority that have gone on to Fostair have been really pleased with the results. Would be really
