I finally managed to contact my specialist and I asked him if I could change my meds since they're not working (seretide). He decided to give me instead Relvar ellipta and Beclospin. I don't know anything about these drugs however.
How is relvar ellipta different from seretide ? I read that it gave relief from symptoms within 15 minutes and apparently only one dose a day should suffice. Also, why do we have to always take it at the same time each day ?
I forgot to mention to my specialist that I don't tolerate dry powder inhalers so does this inhaler only exist in this form ?
Thank you!

It shows how Seretide and Relvar Ellipta are different. Relvar Ellipta is a powder inhaler. Beclospin isn’t on that list and I’ve never heard of it.
This is not a very helpful reply but I just wanted to share the link which was shared on the BLF community here and I just find it so helpful to look at and understand things. I hope your new inhalers help you 👍
Beclospin is a French brand name which is why it won't be on that site - it appears to be beclometasone nebules. I think you said you already have a nebuliser? BUt may need to check if it can handle steroids as not all machine types can.
I don't know much about it, pretty much only that a friend was put on Ellipta last winter and it's been fab for her. But Imagine it needs to be taken same time each day because it lasts 24 hours so that would be it's regular release?
Hi, i am on Relvar ellipta & Incruse ellipta, they have helped but by late afternoon i’m struggling, luckily i have a cancellation appt tomo, am going to see if i can get anything else to help & push for a referral.
Hi Hannah, I'm on Relvar and I take it once a day, usually around 8am Ive found it much better than Fostair, and have been on it over 18months now, hope that helps
Hi Hannah. It’s so lovely to hear that you’ve had a bit of a breakthrough and that your specialist wants you to try something new- as we all know, finding the right treatment is a game of trial and error, so fingers crossed for you.
GSKpro.com have some good FAQ’s on there about Seretide vs Relvar (this is also a popular google search too!)
Yes it come in a container which crushes the table and you inhale a fine powder. It has worked for me and from wheezing all the time on fostair and being breathless, it settled my problem within two days.
Thank you everyone for your answers! I did some research on the drugs and I really wanted to try Relvar but I see that it only exists in powder. I've had very bad experiences with dry powder inhalers lately (Fostair, Brycanil) as they seem to make my symptoms and irritation worse. I feel like my asthma is becoming worse as well as the inflammation in my lungs, the symptoms almost never go away. So I'll have to search for another drug that isn't dry powder. Do you know of any inhaler that could be more powerful than seretide and is not dry powder?
