Hi everyone, I first posted six months ago and since then have been trying to take all the advice on here (thank you). Here are my latest results - I did have a short period of feeling good where my TSH was 2.1 but am not feeling so great again. Here are my latest results - would be great to know if

Still going around in circles, very confused
Hi all, I posted two weeks ago but still lost and confused. My endo is not paying attention. He mentioned in my last visit that he wants to wean me off Cytomel because he doesn’t think it’s good for me. Since starting Cytomel I have some improvements, less fatigue, more energy. I would have been

REVEALED: UK Athletics chiefs' held mystery meeting on controversial use of thyroid medication in 2014
This post is just of general interest and does not have much relevance to our day to day thyroid issues. Sorry to quote this paper but I couldn't readily find another source of the story. [i]

Reducing T3 are these results normal?
I have been taking T3 since the beginning of the year and was doing great but my insulin sensitivity went downhill badly and I realised it coincided with being on T3 (which other people have experienced) . Due to other dietary and health changes I was hopeful I could get my thyroid to function again

Thyroid eye disease TED questions
I have some questions regarding TED, thanks in advance. Q1- can TED exist when you have normal t3 and t4 ranges? Q2- can TED get worse if i get from hyper to hypo by taking medicines (overdose)? Q3- Is TED directly correlated to which figure? T3, T4, Tsh, TraB? Q4- how effective is selenium? Q5

PMS or Underactive thyroid .??
Can underactive thyroid give PMS symptoms. At 55 yrs of age I suspect that my 3 months of missing periods are probably my body's way of letting me know I'm going through the change. However question I have is . Could the pains in my lower stomach be related to thyroid medication . I currently take 100mcg

Selenium 50mcg recommendation
Hi, can anyone recommend a supplement which is selenium only at 50mcg dose? All the supplements I’ve found seem to be 100mcg or above or contain other vitamins/ minerals- some of which I need to avoid (Iodine/ Vit A). Thanks

Has anyone successfully treated an iodine deficiency please?
Hi I've been taking a drop of iodine as advised, for 6 months to correct an iodine deficiency (38). Just previous to that my FT4 was 16 and tsh 3.6ish, so I was considered borderline underactive thyroid. My iodine level has only raised to 41, so have managed to find a liquid that has different ingredients

Selenium
Back in 2016 I was thinking of supplementing with Selenium but decided to get my levels tested first as I read too much could be toxic. My levels came back slightly over range so I never tried it. Whole blood * 154 ug/l (76 - 140). I am thinking of doing the same to see if it will help with getting
