Hi, can anyone recommend a supplement which is selenium only at 50mcg dose?
All the supplements I’ve found seem to be 100mcg or above or contain other vitamins/ minerals- some of which I need to avoid (Iodine/ Vit A).
Thanks

Maybe not ideal, but how about alternate day dosing with 100 micrograms? Last I looked, there were quite a number of possible options.
I agree that low dosing is probably more sensible than over-doing it. But I doubt that alternate day dosing is significantly worse than taking the same (lower) dose every day.
Not long ago, I read a paper about selenium and the dose the used was something like 87 micrograms - seems to be a standard dose in some country or other. Poland? Almost certainly based on a reported daily requirement. (Of course, the silly side is that there is bound to be some selenium in the rest of our food intake. So taking exactly our daily requirement is unlikely to be spot on.)
Go to Amazon UK, put "Selenium 50mcg" in the search box and you will see some.
Go for either selenium l-selenomethionine or yeast-bound selenium. Definitely avoid Selenite and Selenate
There are liquid selenium products which would allow you to adjust the dose (eg Biocare) by using a smaller dropper or fewer drops
Thorne selenomethionine caps. They're 200 mcg. I just open the cap and take 1/4 of it daily.
