Exhausted DMDD/ADHD
Matthews Protocol which is an anti-
seizure
med along with amantadine. Unfortunately I have to wait for her to start puberty so I just have to deal with it until then. Is anyone else going through this and do you know of anything that helps.

Recent FND diagnosis
Around 4 weeks ago I went to bed (totally normal) and woke up having what I thought was a
seizure
. Went to A and E because they wouldn't stop but I was awake and aware. Anyway, all they did was a blood test and I was sent home until I saw my GP the next day for the results.

MPs urged to improve access to epilepsy technology
There is also a vibrant research community focussed on creating new technologies, such as
seizure
prediction devices and algorithms, better brain scans, video monitoring for sleep seizures, and new surgical techniques.

Coping with a seizure of a loved one
She is worried that as they change his medication the likelihood of a
seizure
maybe heightened. Can anyone advise of how a loved one can be as supportive as possible to someone with Epilepsy but also manage their own emotions and feelings if they see their loved one have a
seizure
.

Neurology appointment- after ICU stay
Baring in mind that I didn’t have a
seizure
while attached to the eeg. He did keep me on my medication (lamotrigine & brivaracetam?) though but discharged me and told me to try and video the before during and after a nocturnal
seizure

Seizures but tests say not stroke
They kept her in for 18 days, then released her back home, then after 2 weeks she had a similar episode collapsing on the toilet and going into a
seizure
, then speech all slurred, she was admitted and they said it wasn't a stroke but possible vasovagal episode but not sure.

epilepsy and restless leg syndrome
The GP has prescribed buccolan to be used with the advice of 999 if she has another
seizure
lasting 5 minutes or more. We are waiting on an urgent appointment with a neurologist but the GP did say that that might take a while because of the state the NHS is in.

Lamotragine side effects
Unfortunately I had a particularly nasty
seizure
and injured myself in December. Lamotragine was added in gradually hitting 100mg twice a day. In retrospect I started developing some minor stomach discomfort around the same time.

Solving Restless Legs
Several anticonvulsant and anti-
seizure
drugs, including perampanel, lamotrigine, and gabapentin, target glutamate receptors. And at least one small study has shown perampanel prescribed off-label can improve RLS symptoms.

hypoxia brain injury
His white blood cell count was 38,000 and they think that he suffered a massive
seizure
. He is 25 and was living alone at the time so they don’t know how long the
seizure
lasted. He cannot speak and can barely move. He is able 5o communicate by gently squeezing hands for yes and no questions.

The next morning I had a
seizure
and was again admitted into the hospital. The doctors had found out I had thrown a clot to the brain (Cerebal Venous Sinus Thrombosis). The doctors aren’t sure why this happened (i am 22 years old, i was 21 at the time of the
seizure
/clot).

Anti seizure tablets after brain haemorage
The Sodium Valporate anti
seizure
tablets she is taking now have really knocked her off her feet and she has difficulty standing up. She is changing to lacosamide in the hope that it will have less side effects. Does anyone have experience of lacosamide?

Warning signs?
Hi…I had my first
seizure
in over 50 years recently, I am now 68 and had one as a kid. I have always been aware that my “episodes of weirdness”, as I call them, are probably some sort of epilepsy and I have been keeping a diary of them for the last 15 years.

Good morning 🤗
Which he then also told me of how I'd woken him up that morning: I probably had gone to the loo at around half 6 (my normal wake up time) and had my first
seizure
at the top of the stairs on my way back to the bedroom, and dropped into our bedroom door, which woke him up.

Diagnosed with Brain Tumor… while in holiday in Brazil.
I had an epileptic
seizure
in an isolated island in Brazil and my wife saved my life! Third day after surgery. I’m a bit in distress after all that has happened.
