4-day old with bacterial meningitis & severe brain damage
She’s currently intubated, on a feeding tube, and heavily sedated on 3 anti-
seizure
meds. Her MRI reveals severe, permanent brain damage to the basal ganglia. Neuro said the most likely outcome is that our baby will have severe physical and cognitive issues as she develops.

I see bright flashes and dark spots in my vision. Is it epilepsy?
Okay so I was diagnosed with epilepsy after my first
seizure
in may this year, I’m 27. I have slow and sharp waves in my frontotemporal regions(both sides) and I have tonic-clonic seizures when I’m asleep 2-3 seizures 1 hour apart. I can go 4 weeks without having any so far.

confused :(
I am told that the injury was serious, although I was only kept in hospital for 5 days for monitoring, was on anti
seizure
meds for a week after, was then discharged and left to it. I am seeing Neuropsychology & Physio for BPPV issues, otherwise I am discharged. I am extremely!!!!

Can they sack me
I am currently 8 years
seizure
free. I have been with my current employer for 2 years. They changed the requirements of the role earlier this year. Weekend on-call has always been a requirement. It was one week in five/six when I joined.

A Little of My Heart
When I sat in the ER waiting room, holding onto the sides of the chair trying to control my tremors, When I repeatedly told myself for hours, ‘Do not throw up, do not pass out, When I saw you have a
seizure
, I shouted in a deep, loud voice, ‘Nurse,
seizure
,’ sliding to the floor.

strange feeling after night time seizure
Hi, my husband tells me I had several seizures during the night (Mon) and the rest of the day until this morning I pretty much slept the entire time. This morning I feel a way I just can’t explain. Disconnected maybe, mixed with fear. Not hungry and just sitting down, even putting TV is bad. Is that

Has a Dr or hospital failed you.
So last year I had an epilepsy attack so how mine work after the
seizure
you would think I'm crazy because I become a crazy person and I will answer weird things that doesn't correspond with the question being asked.

strange sleep symptom
It tends to happen when stressed and I can feel it coming on - I just get that I can’t keep my eyes open (definately not fainting or
seizure
etc) and I have to succumb. It can last 10 minutes to an hour but it feels like a deep sleep.

zopiclone hell
I want to come off but ots more dangerous for me not to sleep as it lowers my
seizure
thresehold so really could do with some advise. Going to try and taper down but I think underneath the zop is a depressed, tired and person with panic attacks and trauma that effects me.
