Anti seizure tablets after brain haemorage

My wife has had a brain haemorage which after 12 months has resulted in her having some bad seizures. The Sodium Valporate anti seizure tablets she is taking now have really knocked her off her feet and she has difficulty standing up. She is changing to lacosamide in the hope that it will have less side effects. Does anyone have experience of lacosamide?
