Long acting beta 2 agonists or inhaled steroids only ?
Hi! As I've posted here before I've been suffering from an asthma exacerbation for 5 months now and I am still struggling to get it back under control. I am currently finishing a second short course of oral steroids and I'm also using seretide 250 (4 puffs everyday). The majority of the doctors I went

Permanent Tight Chest
My asthma has been very well controlled since around October last year, since then I have only needed one course of steroids and the rest has been controlled by my preventer inhalers with very very little need for my salbutamol. As a result of this over the last couple of months, I got a little lackadaisical

Silent Brittle asthma
Occasional flare ups I could manage with nebulised
Salbutamol
and
Ipratropium
. I take fexofenadine so didn’t get set off by allergies very often. In December last year I had a very minor cold and since then I have spiralled into a completely uncontrolled state again.

Bad spell of asthma
My partner has had asthma all his life but has been well controlled as an adult. Since January he has suddenly had problems. He was taking salbutamol & lowest dose seretide. He has now been increased to Seretide 500 & given atrovent inhaler & a nebuliser. How often should he be using the atrovent nebules

Asthma App
Hey guys! I keep a symptom and salbutamol diary in the notes on my phone but it’s getting a bit messy and cumbersome. I’ve tried downloading some apps to track these and it is much easier, however I haven’t found an app that I’ve really fallen in love with. Does anyone here use an asthma app of any

Flare ups
Has a severe asthmatic if my albuterol inhaler and nebulizer is not working after 20 Puffs and 10 vials I go to the ER. Sometimes I don't even make it up to that and end up calling an ambulance. Seriously call 911 before you start panicking.

Post-Bronchitis
Hi all! I am at my wit’s end. I was diagnosed with bronchitis over 6 weeks ago— and am still having symptoms. I’ve been to the doctor (allergist, primary, pulmonologist) over 7 times. And the ER twice. They all say it’s “inflammation” from the bronchitis and can last for some time. I’ve had two chest

Rib pain day after running
Hello, I began having asthma symptoms last year while running. I easily managed it with an albuterol inhaler. This year I moved to a different city, and after about 6 months of living here I started having problems. I get chest/rib/back pain almost daily. I started Symbicort which seems to help (no wheezing

Albuterol Sulfate
I have been using Albuterol for years because of seasonal allergies. But this year when my spring allergies started I started using my inhaler, and after about 2 weeks I got hives. Doctor gave me prednisone for 6 days and they went away, and now the hives are coming back. Do you think it's possible

Is it really asthma ?
I'm new to this forum and I've decided to post my questions here because I've been struggling to breathe for 2 months and it's not getting any better. Before I start, I should probably mention that I used to have asthma when I was very little until age 5 and I suffer from allergies. But after that age

Productive cough after using inhaler(s)?
Hi there, everyone. I've been here since February but this is the first time I've posted anything. I have adult onset asthma. Diagnosed in September 2018. I have two preventers and the albuterol and was wondering after you use your inhaler, is your cough a little productive afterwards and is it normal

So my asthma has been fairly well behaved this winter. Then pollen season strikes! I take Fexofenadine prescribed for hayfever as well as usual Flutiform and occasional Salbutamol as needed. Last day or so I have really struggled when out and about. Today have had a few bad attacks and am now left with
