Permanent Tight Chest

My asthma has been very well controlled since around October last year, since then I have only needed one course of steroids and the rest has been controlled by my preventer inhalers with very very little need for my salbutamol. As a result of this over the last couple of months, I got a little lackadaisical and kept forgetting to take my inhalers/totally stopped my montelukast. However, around the 10th of this month I stared experiencing some breathlessness and then on the 13th after a relatively bad attack, I needed an emergency out-of-hours appointment where my PF had dropped and I was given steroids but advised no infection. After the 5 days I ended up having a very minor attack and went back to my doctor where again, PF checked and was higher, temp checked all the usuals, no sign of infection and given 5 more days of steroids. Tomorrow is the last day for my steroids and I am still relying very heavily on my salbutamol. I had a wheeze at the hospital but nothing since, i don't usually wheeze unless its a very bad attack. I've been back on all inhalers and tablets for about 10 days now, but my chest is still so tight. I can breathe, but its shallowly. Could this flare up be because I had stopped taking my meds? I have another nurse appointment tomorrow to see what's to happen but I'm worried they won't take me seriously due to the lack of wheeze and because I don't present as a 'normal' asthmatic (this happened at A&E but is a whole different story). Thanks in advance :)

I will also add my oxygen levels at my first appointment were good but by the second one they were at 94. I am permanently tired but can't sleep because of how up and down I feel, plus the crushing when I lie down is horrible.
