Rib pain day after running

Hello,

I began having asthma symptoms last year while running. I easily managed it with an albuterol inhaler. This year I moved to a different city, and after about 6 months of living here I started having problems. I get chest/rib/back pain almost daily. I started Symbicort which seems to help (no wheezing anymore), but I still have time exercising. After running my rib cage hurts in the front and back. Even the next day when I wake up my ribs, sternum and back are sore. My asthma seems to be under control for the most part, so why am I still in pain every day?

I was on Symbicort but it gave me really bad panic attacks. So I went back on to flutiform. No problems but I never had pain off it. Mabey its sumit else you should get that checked out.

I think you need to see your GP. Inhalers have some weird side affects. What might be present in some patients that take symbicort wont be in others.

Personally i have taken symbicort for years and its been fine, but I am not a runner.
