Short Synacthen Test for AI
I am also on Spiriva Respimat 2 puffs morning, as well as
ipratropium
(Atrovent) and
salbutamol
via nebuliser 3-4 times daily (as well as other asthma meds). I have been told that these are ok to continue.

Montelukast Withdrawal
I have decided to stop taking montelukast as I have had severe anxiety and sleep problems. I know they may be completely unrelated but looking back over my history, the anxiety has got worse over the last 14 months since I was prescribed Montelukast. Has anyone had any problems when stopping Montelukast

Budesonide (Pulmicort) working well, except for mild chest congestion
Hi I have exercise induced asthma and some other stuff going on which I don't understand. Earlier this year I started having bad sinus related discomfort/pain and my GP put me on Pulmicort turbohaler (200ug, budesonide), on top of my omnair nasal spray (Ciclesonide). The two together work like a charm

Post steroid wean
I only had 1 full on attack, after which they added in
Ipratropium
nebs along with my
salbutamol
nebs four times a day, which seemed to help (I'm already on fostair 200/6 and spiriva respimat). They have discharged me on these too.

SOB but peak flow doesn't change and asthma tests don't show anything severe
Hi, I'm kind of desperate right now and thought that you guys might have some ideas regarding my problems. Roughly 3 Weeks ago I started having trouble of breath from time to time. In my case inhaling feels much worse than exhaling. Also my throat starts feeling harder when I have SOB. I don't have

Pain in ribs on my back and peak flow is down
Since last night, I have had pain in my ribs on my back where my chest is and I've checked my peak flow tonight and it's down from 350 to around 230. My ribs are also sore on my front as well. I am unsure on whether this is my asthma trying to flare up or what. I can't talk to my doctor's as they don't

Peak flow readings
Good morning all. I’ve recently been diagnosed with Heart Failure and I’ve been asked to use a peak flow meter to check my lungs. Over the last week my average is around 575 (I’m a 6ft - 68 years old- male). I think this is ok and shows my breathlessness is caused by my Heart Failure. My question is
