Last nigjt I started taking albuterol and z pack. I have been dealing with shortness of breath and now when I woke up it feels like half my throat isn't there. I don't have the deep cough this morning as usual. Is thst normal? Also I've been having shaking chills all night and I slept maybe a couple

Life long asthma and bronchiectasis
Hi I'm Jane. I'm 65 years old and have had severe asthma since a baby. I am currently taking Uniphyllin, 20 mg prednisolne, forstair, spiriiva and salbutamol inhalers . I'm feeling a bit down at the moment as I have just had a CT scan which shows that I also have significant bronchiectasis. This

Asthma Attack 'n' Back (to A&E)
They put me on an oxygen-propelled nebuliser of
Salbutamol
and
Ipratropium
which helped a bit. They gave me prednisolone.

Asthma and living with it
I woke up one night when I was 14 and couldn't breathe. Over the years I was in and out of hospital, on various inhalers and steroids when needed. I managed to get by, have three children, then in 1991 after the birth of my last child I had really bad attack. I was put on steroids to get me back to

Asthma and working
Hi, i've had asthma for around 7yrs, a little bit about myself: I contracted it when I had a really bad flu, I'm on seretide and salbutamol, its very rare I use the salbutamol, and rarely get the swollen throat any more, but it does effect my chest if I don't take precautions like when I'm round pollen

Drug trial - visit 12
Hi Everyone, I've just checked my posts and find that several are missing - hey ho, you haven't missed much but it is frustrating when I've spent time trying to keep you all up to date with the trial. Anyway, Visit 12, yesterday, was very unremarkable, just the usual vital signs but no bloods, no spirometry

DIY Asthma Treatment
I'm an American-born expat living in Lima, Peru. Here medicine is kind of a DIY endeavor and that's where I find myself. When I arrived here, in 2004, my girlfriend was a recovering tuberculosis patient. At the end of her treatment period, the doctor checked her out along with me and the rest of her

Help there's a Heatwave!
Hi everyone, I am having a terrible time with my breathing in the hot weather at the moment. I am 44 years old and have had asthma for about 20 years - I take Salbutamol and Fostaire - which I have been on for over 15 years. The Fostaire replaced the one I used to take I think it was called Flixotide

Inhaler advice please
Hello to all. I am hoping that someone can advise me on my inhalers. I have non-specific respiratory problems that run alongside my Lupus. Despite being a non-smoker, my airways are narrowed and also inflamed. I have been using both Eklira and Flutiform but asked my consultant for a single inhaler

What do you take for Chronic Bronchitis
I have a touch of both Asthma and an element of Chronic Bronchitis with normal airflows I am told. My 25-75 is slightly down and I suspect my volumes have increased but are in the normal range. My breathing is however not good and driving me mad. Can I just ask if there is anyone else here with a similar
