Oxycodone med concern?
Evening everyone, ive finished a weeks course of steroids for an FM / UCTD flare and for a few days I felt almost normal and pain free. Except today the burning down my spine (worse at the base and hips) started again. Anti inflams dont help. I've been on plaquenil for almost 2 months now and that

Does this PAIN ever stop?
Hi. Thanks for reading. I'm new, and I don't write that much. I'm taking Oxycontin (40mg) per day for lower back pain. I also have Oxycodone (20) for BTP. I have been ok for a year. Pyhsio for 6 months has helped, and I have been taught to do it at home each morning and night. I still need to take my

Oh sleep where art thou? 😢
I don't think I've posted here before but have been reading others for quite a while now. It's 12.30am Monday morning. I've managed an hour 1/2 sleep until I woke up with a sensation of my entire spine burning from inside out. My hips /pelvis burn, my shoulders burn. I finally caved and had an oxycodone

I was WAY too optimistic
Hello again all. Welp, surgery was last Friday. Refresher, I was the silly patient who planned to return to work on Monday after a Friday ovary/cyst removal. Bah-hah-hah, boy was I wrong! I think my age (54) probably played a lot into it. The pain has been significant, but I have only taken 3 oxycodone

GP lack of knowledge
I went back to my GP today to ask for renewal of gabapentin & to ask about oxycodone versus Targinact armed with a print out of the NICE guidelines on RLS, treatments and Targinact. Saw a different GP who's not up to speed on my withdrawal from Ropinirole & started to update her on situation. First she

Two years of pain severe lower back pain
I guess I wanted to put it out there. It happened to me, I did become a person with chronic pain. I did all the things that were suggested and some reduced my severe lower back pain. But...at the end of the day, I still suffer. And the worst days have become very very painful. There is less pain after

Sensation of stinging burning pain
Hi everyone! First time here. I'm experiencing sensations of burning, stinging, itching, aluminating pain around my waist, hips and lower stomach. I feel this 24hrs a day. Only time I can get sleep and rest is to take oxycodone. Motrin 800 stopped helping. Can someone tell me what this may be?

Better than foot wraps? I think so... :)
Hi to everyone! :) I've been following this forum for a couple of weeks because like you all, I struggle with RLS. I've recently found some ways that seem to be relieving my RLS and I want to share them. BTW, I'm 72 female. First, after reading about foot wrapping I've been doing some research about

J tube Proceedure
I experienced extreme weight loss due to esophagael and upper stomach Cancer. Soarness and even pain following a J tube Prodeedure to abate body wasting. I am using Oxycodone 5 Mg/Ml as a pain killer which seems to be effective for 5 hours more than 20 hours a day. Do you have any suggestions?

Oxycontin substitute?
Our insurance, which is through AARP, says it won't cover or fill slow release oxycontin so twice I just paid for it. Then the last time it was ordered, they changed it and filled it with oxycodone slow release. Is this pretty much the same? Harley has quite a lot of pain but much of it is nerves in

Restless Leg Syndrome. What is next for me after withdrawing from Pramipexole.
My journey through withdrawal from Pramipexole. For RLS. After suffering augmentation I have just reached day 9 without taking any Pramipexole at all. It's been so difficult and the hardest thing I ever had to do. Now it's time to consider what medication I can use for my RLS from here. I've done loads

Another newbie - osteoarthritis(OA)
I was a nurse/midwife and in the mid 80's had 2 lifting back injuries and was retired on health grounds at the age of 27!! Had every treatment available almost below surgery - even went for a trial for an external fixator but was deemed unsuitable in the end. Had some treatments that make doctors today

Opiate detox
Hi I have been taking Targinact and Oxycodone for years, along with various other pain medications for CRPS and Fibromyalgia. Now the Pain Specialist want me to get off these drugs, as they could now be doing more harm than good. However, I am expected to do this on my own, with no medical intervention
