Tonsillitis & Decapeptyl injection
Evening all. I keep getting tonsillitis or sore throat & wondering if it’s to do with hormone injections or endo? I eat pretty healthy foods low sugar no dairy, wheat or red meat. I take extra vitamins so really don’t understand why I keep getting this. Anyone with similar experience or advice?

Good evening! Im trying to learn as a newly diagnosed asthmatic about allergies. I find I dont really sneeze or have watery eyes, or those classic symptoms. But I do often feel pressure around eyes and ears feel clogged...kinda like Im living underwater or in a haze. The pressure in head is def a symptom

Continuous colds
Hi, I'm waiting to see a rheumatologist and have been reading up on lupus. I suffer with constant and what seems like continuous colds, could this have anything to do with lupus. Before bloods showed lupus markers I had visited the gp and they put me on some nasal spray. I used it religiously for about

Flares of COPD /chronic bronchitis
Hi , last year a CAT scan showed chronic bronchitis - signs of COPD. It made sense - getting shortness of breath/ used to smoke. But over the last 4 or 5 years I have regular bouts of extreme fatigue, inflammation and painful eyes ears throat, neck muscles and fever . Is this normal with COPD? It

red tide and copd
I was diagnosed with copd in 2017. I had quit smoking 35 years ago. I had never even had a cold in my lungs ever. The only thing I can think of was I went deep sea fishing ,while we were out there fishing we noticed the bait we would catch was dying. To find out the Red tide was out and awful. By 2

Loss of taste on steroids
Back in February while in Spain I had my first ever flare up ( copd) Doctor prescribed antibiotics and steroid injection and tablets, said I was close to pneumonia. I was pretty rough with wheezing, cough, breathing etc. But never having had steroid tablets before I wasn’t sure what to expect.

Phlegm
Hi everyone. I have phlegm stuck in throat added to that a cough which is a very loose cough. I do cough up phlegm every so often. Taking 6 carbestine a day. Not sure they work. But at least loose. Is there any thing else the doctor could prescribe. Otherwise very good health

Can lung cancer be diagnosed by a CT scan?
Hi everyone, About four weeks ago, my partner started coughing up blood..went to A and E, diagnosed with pneumonia and given antibiotics. This week he coughed up blood again. GP told him it wasn't pneumonia ( no indication in bloods) and he shouldn't have been diagnosed with that. He was sent straight

Severe chest and rib pain - no cough
Hi, My wife was diagnosed with bronchitis last December, since then we've been to the doctor's and they gave her two sprays (blue and pink - can't remember the names). She had bloods and x-ray done, came back clear. She is iron and vitamin D deficient, she takes supplements for both. She gets severe

Cold plasma against the coronavirus.
Many seriously ill Covid-19 patients must contend with more than just the coronavirus. Approximately half of the people who were mechanically ventilated yet still died had acquired additional infections in hospital. Cold plasma therapy could prevent these superinfections and reduce the risk of hospital

Respiratory problems
Hi. I have lupus, APS and secondary Sjögrens. Since having pneumonia 3 years ago I’ve had a constant productive cough although recent chest X-ray looks fine. Waiting for lung function tests now. Has anyone else with the same conditions developed respiratory problems ?

Preparing for a new chapter
Hello everyone, I’m not use to being on forums but I feel so lost and alone, I don’t know who else to turn to. I’m 28 years old and the oldest daughter of my family. We recently found out my mom (52) is at her end stage of renal disease. She just had a catheter inserted to prepare for Peritoneal Dialysis

Depression because of cold
I moved to retirement flat last month. I own it. Bought very cheap. My problem is the cold in flat. No sun comes in it and feels extremely cold all the time. I have electric heating which cannot afford to put on all day. It is warmer outside. Shouldn't need heating in June. I feel cold because of thyroid

Why seretide is the first course of action for asthma...Why not some steroid free treatment to start with?
Hi everyone! I am new to asthmatic life! My issue started with heart palpitations and acidity, got nexium then later I started feeling SOB, initially Dr. Said it's bronchitis and then gerd induced asthma and now asthma. My question is that do I need to stay on seretide course because I cannot differentiate

Covid-19 Pneumonia Recovery
Hi again, I want to thank everyone for their replies on my last post, they were all helpful. Last week I went back to my GP and she again referred me to A&E - I stayed for the night on oxygen and the next morning they told me they believe I had COVID-19 (I believe it was covid pneumonia?) as they could

Coughing with steroids
I have Eosinophilic Asthma, and cough a phlemy cough a lot of the time. I use two inhalers, Flutiform, and Ciclesonide, two puffs twice a day. Sometimes I find that when I use my inhaler, it makes me have a coughing fit. Am I just coughing up the steroid spray and should I use it again?
