Muscle retention in PD
I have been riding a relatively good streak since DBS 6 years ago. Recently my right side muscles, bicep and my leg have become severely compromised. My bicep looks like I survived WW2 prison camp! (NO DISRESPECT INTENDED). I am active with yoga and yard work etc. I can't lift my grandchildren..

Lamotrigine - help with mood?
Lamotrigine is a medicine that can be prescribed to prevent seizures. But also it may help your mood after a brain injury. Has anyone taken Lamotrigine and found it has helped with mood? and in what way has it made a difference?

DBS has changed my life
Yes Dbs has reduced medication by 75%. It has made my Dyskenisia disappear. With setting changes have not visited the doctor even after 15 months after surgery.

Shingles vaccination. Is this a good idea when you have hypothyroidism?
My husband has just been invited by the surgery to have a shingles vaccination and in a fortnight's time I will become eligible for the same vaccination. I have never thought of shingles as being that serious or even all that common but apparently one in three people will get it after the age of 50 and

Help needed. My mom just started throwing fits about a week ago. It’s been consistent every day. She flips a switch all of a sudden and starts screaming and crying. She has moments of hallucinations and doesn’t recognize me. She is having arthritis pain in her shoulder and she will scream and yell for

Squirrel scratches? Chances of Rabies or Tetanus
Anyone bitten by a squirrel or mistakenly scratched by one in the UK? Out in Hyde Park on Sunday and very brave Squirrel ran up my leg when my back was turned. I do not interact with wildlife at all so as soon as that happened I screamed and it jumped off straight. The jump was very light and didn't

SHINGLES ON MY FACE.
Has anyone had an experience with shingles on their face? I have been dealing with it for a couple of years. The sores are gone but the nerves in my face are highly sensitive. Even the nerves on my gums and teeth on that side of my face. I use triamcinolone acetonide on my face which helps a little
