Worrying I have a brain tumour again
Hi everyone, I’m starting to worry I have a brain tumour again, after a very bad migraine incident, I’ve had constant headaches everyday that just don’t go away no matter what. It’s different types of headaches, some like tension and others like migraine and even experiencing ice pick headaches now.

Thyroid and Adrenals
Hi, I have low morning cortisol and just don’t have the energy to make it through the day. I take NDT and top up with t3 but my t4 levels are always low and out of range. I think when I try to raise my NDT it potentially back fires due to low cortisol? I have had 3 SST tests done and I pass every time

Shingles
I have been diagnosed with shingles. I noticed a rash on Thursday, however because it wasn’t hurting at all I didn’t think much of it which was very silly of me! I went to the doctor on yesterday as it was spreading and i was told it was shingles. I’m surprised that after now 6 days the rash is there

Shingles injection
I've finally made it down to 1/2mg every other day. My Doctor wants me to have the shingles injection. Does anyone know if this can cause an issue?? I've been reducing the pred for 2 1/2 yrs, very very slowly and haven't had a flare and don't want one at this stage. Appreciate any thoughts. many

Terrified again of brain tumor!
So I've been having some eye issues. My vision is very blurry and also hazy. I do stay on my phone literally all day long. My eyes are dry and they burn slightly. I googled of course and read that this could be a brain tumor. I've also been having headaches but they seem to have subsided. Has anyone

This has got to be a brain tumor!
My symptoms are headaches ( not severe) they come and go. Body jerks while resting, but the most frightening is my vision looks milky or cloudy. It's also blurred. In both eyes. I do mess around on my phone for 16-19 hours a day...everyday. My room is very dim. I have googled (of course) and all I see

Gastric Issues after Meningitis?
I am 8 months post meningitis. I am still struggling with after effects. Trembling, brain fog and numb spots. My question....Anyone have gastric issues? Diarrhea? Mine has been bad last week or so. Appetite has never been totally back to normal. I never can tell if new symptoms are meningitis related

PMR? or not PMR? - that is the question.
Does anyone have any knowledge or experience of alternative conditions that might be / have been misdiagnosed as PMR?. e.g there appears to be some evidence that Lyme disease may present the identical clinical picture as PMR.

A small study has recently suggested that Deep Brain Stimulation eases Parkinson’s symptoms by directly raising dopamine levels

Hi there. Just joined to ask a question. My son had viral meningitis at 4 weeks old and ended up on a ventilator for a week. Now he’s 5 and although fine physically I worry that he’s attention span and general concentration isn’t v good. Has anyone had experience of this? Could this b due to the meningitis

How I reduced my Parkinson’s meds by 50% and beat my addiction to dopamine
Fifteen years ago I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease (PD). Within a year I was taking the standard medication associated with the disease, dopamine in its various forms (levodopa/carbadopa, aka. Sinemet). Like most sufferers of PD, my need for Sinemet, grew and grew until I was taking 200 mg every

3 Months post viral meningitis
I’ve been a member for a few months now, trying to get advice from others or just to read everyone else’s stories. Here’s mine... The end of May I noticed I had swollen glands in the back of my neck and a bad headache. Took some ibuprofen and forgot about it. A few days later I was having neck pain along

Abject fatigue
I am curious if anyone has a cheery solution for abject fatigue. I’m finding it to be a potential terminal issue. I don’t see a way out. The more I try to exercise the worse it gets. I’m currently on Rytary, klonazapam-dose hasn’t changed in 4 years- and levothyroxine. About a year ago started
