Synthetic mytral valve
Hello, Soon I will have mytral valve replacement. I'm 56 female and lead a very active life. My concern is not so much getting back to fitness after surgery but more how much warfarin really affects day to day life. Also I was wondering, are there still no other alternatives to taking warfarin when

Night sweats
I have noticed this week I have woken up with water on my back and chest. My hair is wet and my bedding is too. I am in my sixth week of recovery since having open heart surgery, valve replacement. Has anyone else experienced this, I have only noticed it this week.

Irritability on levo dose increase?
Hello all, I'm about 4 weeks in to a dose increase of levo from 100 to 125mcg. I'm familiar with a surge in 'wired and frantic' energy when I've reached about the 3 week point on a new higher dose in the past. And I had that a few days ago. It had settled. However today I've been increasingly irritable

Requip and Collagen
I have been taking Requip for several years and started taking Collagen last year as I had come off HRTand my hair and nails were in a terrible condition. I seem to remember seeing that taking both was not advised, is that correct? I have gone back on HRT but it has not made any difference.

Do I have Ords?
Iāve been having a big flare up of symptoms following knee replacement last July. Recently my eyes have become very inflamed, blurry vision, pain when I move my eyes sideways or up and down and they ache and feel like theyāre burning. I finally saw the GP who was quite concerned so ordered an Opthalmology

Hormone Replacement for Surgical Menopause
Hi dear ladies, have any of you used HRT to cope with the horrors of surgical menopause resulting from OC treatment, if that diagnosis happened to you prior to natural menopause? I find that thereās no discussion or warning about the effects of surgical menopause prior to treatment and that no one seems

HRT question
Sorry, I know it's technically off-topic but I also know there is a lot of knowledge on this board! I've been prescribed HRT; estrogen patches & progesterone tablets. When should I start wearing the patches? I'm on day 13 but cycles are somewhat irregular...

Could this be GCA?
I have just the one symptom: intermittent pain on chewing, especially tougher foods like meat: no unusual headaches, scalp tenderness or visual disturbances at all. I know this isnāt a good reason for not going to the doctor, but I probably wouldnāt have noticed it if I wasnāt already aware of the possibility
