PC drug with least side effects
After 2 years on ADT I must go to a stronger medicine. I am castrate resistant with one small met by the pelvis. Doc suggests Xthandi but I would appreciate any suggestions on anything easier. The SE scare the hell out of me

Encourage to those contemplating valve replacement
I just want to encourage anyone worried about life after aortic valve replacement. I know that each case is different and when I had my valve replaced I was young and in good health apart from the leaking valve but I just want to share a photo I took on a walk this week to demonstrate what can be possible

Brachyboost and PSA progression free survival question
We just received our appointment summary from the radiation oncologist and there is a comment in it that is confusing me. It’s not how I remember the conversation, so I am wondering if someone can clarify ( Tall_Allen ?). ”We can proceed with EBRT followed by LDR brachytherapy boost and minimum 6 months

Gasoline?
A question for anyone who has found an answer... From 2018, when diagnosed, I have been told by doctors, urologists and oncologists that; "Testosterone, in prostate cancer, is like gasoline on a fire!" When I first heard this it seemed dubious since what I "knew" about PCa was that young men with

PSMA scan
I spoke with RO and we are going to radiate the autocaval lymph node lit up per the above scan. My PSA was .027. I hope this knocks it out. I am also contemplating ADT but unsure which would work first or second generation.

rising PSA and 'light' advancement of mets in hip bones. Diagnosed stage 4 in March 2021.
Greetings! My husband was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer in March 2021. ADT dropped the PSA quite a bit. We started seeing Dr. George at Duke March of 2023 and he had my husband on a round of docetaxel. After that the many bone mets and some on lungs 'disappeared'. Now it looks like they

estradiol cream
I know this was discussed 8 years ago but has it changed for the better regarding reducing the ADT SE? I am on ADT for 2 + years and going on Xtandti this month. I want to control the SE as best I can. Great diet and heavy exercise every day. Also stopped the Vit Cal & D.

Shingrix vaccine for immunosuppressed people aged 50+
I thought I would just post this from the gov.uk website because I have just a bit of struggle convincing our surgery that I was eligible, so maybe other people haven't been invited either. Eliminating ADT.
Is there ANY PC Therapy that does not use ADT ? I have been on ADT implants for over 2 years and will start Xtandi due to increased PSA's. I would love to stop ADT due to SE.

Treatment Recommendation for father with advanced PCA to regional lymph nodes
Hi All, I was hoping for some feedback on the treatment schedule advised for my father. All the details for his diagnosis are in my bio. We met with the radio oncologist last week and he suggested the following 1. Start cosudex tablets now for 28 days and then stop 2. Start Zoladex injection within

I had had 10 rounds of radiation to treat two spinal bone mets back in March. I am on Lupron (first shot was in March) and abiraterone and prednisone daily. PSA has plummeted and doing good. Prepping for chemo in May. This past Wednesday I started feeling some discomfort in my front and back. It's hard
