Breathlessness
Hi. All....I am the ancient one, still having problems now 10 weeks post ablation......I phoned my arrhythmia nurse, but received no reply ...which was very disappointing....Iam still very breathless, upon doing anything even now after all these weeks. Have to see my G P in a weeks time, I’ll see then

Nightmare Holiday
Well just a week off my 3 month check after my cryo ablation most of you know about on 30th April this year, and it's hit the skids big time. Stupidly Booked a holiday to lanzarote as I have been feeling so well, and been here a week today, though spent the last 4 days battling a cold, throat and chest

High blood pressure after ablation
Hi All...I think I slipped back into A F yesterday, blood pressure very high for quite a few hours, light headed felt awful, bpm around 75 to 83 ...I don’t think it was erratic. Chest pain, which I think was my heart under stress...pretty sure I wasn’t having a heart attack. Tried to keep myself calm

after ablation
It is now 6 weeks and I can say I am still in sinus rhythm the only problems it has left me with is left sided heart failure and high blood pressure which hasn't stabilised and is consistently high. I am really happy to be in sinus rhythm but now face an uphill battle to understand the heart failure

Hi its Alice here , saw my gp yesterday who gave me water pills for my swollen feet ,anckles , I go for ecg on the 23rd Monday, I think ecg will be looking for heart failure, I am just thinking if heart failure causes fluid around lungs and heart ,and if I take the water pills now six days before ecg

Keto acid supplementation?
Does anyone use keto acid supplementation along with a low protein diet to help preserve kidney function and prevent further decline in eGFR? I have read anecdotal reports from people who were able to stabilize and even increase their eGFR and other kidney function values by using this protocol. I am

Help with Blue Horizon results please
I intended to have a test done privately, but then I got rather poorly and ended up in hospital with acute

, due to an infection caused by an unnamed virus. The hospital put me on Vit D.

Dialysis Nurses Trying to give unsolicited medical advice
At my dialysis center I currently use a permacath due to my graft that I've had for 6 years stopped working. Tried having it declotted. But, they don't last forever. The Charge Nurse keeps hounding me about a new access. I've had 2 PD pumps before both after the graph. The first one placed on the left

IgA nephropathy
Hello I have been diagnosed with IgA Nephropathy as I had increased levels of proteins in my urine. How to now move ahead and please tell if any treatment is available for this. My GFR is 71 at present. Please advise about diet and changes to maintain it at this level to avoid any further deterioration

Can a pacemaker help with breathing?
I have severe Emphysema and last year had heart failure whilst in A&E. Was on life support for 4days then critical care for 4days and remained in hospital for 1 month. One year on I have had a pacemaker fitted which should stabilise my heart rhythm and help my shortness of breath. Has anyone experience

Chronic Kidney Disease
My mother is 80, and last year she had a GFR rate of 26, this year she had a blood test and the following day several of her medicines were stopped without a reason being given. She also hasn’t drank the recommended fluid amount every day either, only about 1.5ltr. Lorsartan, Furosemide, Apixaban were
