Got up and out and did my warm up walk with a nightly pain in my left ankle but then when I started to run it was too painful to carry on. It’s been a bit sore since I walked thirteen or so miles on Wednesday with my daughter in her pushchair. Looks like a few days rest for me, which actually probably

Hello! I had my colonoscopy yesterday. I have been dreading it for such a long time, but a friend who survived colon cancer urged me to have it. It was not half as bad as I imagined. I went home quite happy to have done the colonoscopy - the doctor saw 2 polyps and snipped them off for biopsy.

It is now oct2018 and still no sign . I have rung the consultants Secretary and waiting list dept . They were both very rude

Surgical menopause symptoms
Hello, Was wondering if anyone could help me out with some advice or similar experiences. I had a hysterectomy a few years ago and then had an oophorectomy in February this year, both due to endometriosis. I started on HRT (oestrogel) immediately after the oophorectomy and had no menopausal symptoms

My Endometriosis Life
I'm always in pain from my endometriosis. I recently had a oophorectomy, that didn't work so well for me. I've been dealing with this for about 29 years now, since I was 12. I've had plenty of ovarian cyst surgeries. I've been on the Lupron Depo shot several times.

General anaesthetics for gallbladder removal and asthma.
I am on the active waiting list to have my gallbladder removed. I have a large stone which is giving me a fair amount of discomfort. I also suffer from reflux which I understand can aggravate asthma. I have had asthma for approx. 45 years and the only time I needed Ventolin was approx. once per year

Bowel resection
Has anyone had bowel resection after total abdominal hysterectomy and ovary removal etc. If so what was it like and were there any problems - leak infection etc?

surgical menopause
Hello all. I had a partial hysterectomy 19 years ago and a BSO almost 4 years ago. I have been on 1 mg estradiol per day since. I have found that my hot flashes, mood swings and fatigue/joint pain have indeed been (somewhat) helped by the HRT. Lately though, I have found that I occasionally miss a dose

Meeting with Radiation Oncologist to discuss treatments after persistent cancer after Radical Prostatectomy (RP) with PSA of 0.8 - Gleason 7
I had my meeting with my Radiation Oncologist (RO) to discuss my treatment plan now since I had the recurrence cancer after surgery with PSA 0.8. He had me meet him in his examining room, instead of his office so he could sit next to me and my wife. I thought that was unusual because I even asked if

Husband almost dies in induced coma for dt's- Wife cannot lose image of experience
My story, husband gets ill, decides to stop drinking to take antibiotic for a few days, he never considers withdrawal, goes into full dt's, hallucinations, pulling weapons out. Admit to hospital, goes insane, put in icu in induced coma. Seems liver is so bad, cirrhosis, ascites and hepatic encepalopathy

After surgery and now PSA 0.8 - what's next?
I am 61 years old, married for 2nd time for 21 years to a special woman who gave me 2 wonderful kids, now 17 & 19, and an adopted son from my first marriage who is now 33 and living with his girlfriend. I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in April 2018. I had been seeing my PSA numbers slowing rising

Ovary removal and bleeding 2 weeks post op
Hi all :) 11 days ago I had emergency surgery to remove a ruptured endometrioma cyst as well as the ovary and Fallopian tube it had engulfed. They also got rid of endo adhesions. They said it was stage 3. I take birth control continuously to prevent getting my period as per my gyn's orders. This week

Hello there Im looking for your advice plz, my wife has been diagnosed with brest cancer and she was treated well. But her doctor says that she can develop ovaries cancer so he recommends to remove them because there is no way to take a clear scan for the ovaries. My questions are? Anyone has an experience
