Post from lady on here earlier caught my attention and I wonder if any of you knowledgable people can throw some light on this? I done the home test - some baking soda & water first thing and no burp at all which indicates low stomach acid. Thankfully I do not have discomfort but I’m concerned about

Low Potassium/High Calcium Caution
Hi Guys I had a mineral check via a hair test and a DNA Methylation report via a mouth swab (corrected 16 June as I had them the wrong way round) as suggested by a nutritionist who has been helping me sort my gut and auto-immune issues. I wasn't expecting much ... but how lovely to be pleasantly surprised

I found that the keto diet is extremely high in the amino acid methionine and I made it worse trying to reduce my blood pressure

Problem with GP
I am at the end of my rope. My GP has put me down to 25mcg of levothyroxine every other day due to a constantly suppressed TSH. I am very unwell and due to have cataract surgery on the 14th. I am still taking 25mcg every day as I had extra tablets. The GP has said my results are normal (already posted

Abdominal burning pain
Do people suffer with burning pain, a bit like IBS pain, but more constant and burning anywhere across the abdomen. I am still awaiting tests to confirm PA, but I know I have a very high pH, so almost no stomach acid, which is obviously causing the pain. I eat a varied diet, not much in the way of processed

Levothyroxine optimised?
Hi lovely people! My latest thyroid results were: TSH 1,27 (0,380-5,330μUI/mL) (18% through range) fT4 1,16 (0.38-1,40 ng/dL) (88% through range) fT3 3,79 (2,5-3,9pg/mL) (92% through range) Miraculously they finally tested fT3 for the first time, and I was so happy to see that I seem to be converting

Can anyone recommend a good, reasonably priced and readily available betaine hydrochloride ? I have checked the Solgar one and it seems to be out of stock in most places and of varying prices. Thanks.

long term omeprazole use
I was taking omeprazole for about 15 years and stopped in December last year, as I had done some research and found out it can affect stomach acid. No one told me to stop taking it. I don’t even know why I was put on it in the first place, up I think it was for IBS. I haven’t had any acid reflux or indigestion

Conundrum Gastrin

I have been doing some research regarding the damage that Gastrin can do when it doesn't switch off (NET's tumours) because of low stomach acid and as the Gastrin is activated
