NHS Choices forum for the Strength and Flex community. The perfect addition to any HealthUnlocked forum activity, supported by a team of runners and fitness volunteers shared between our sister forums Active 10, Couch to 5k, Bridge to 10k and Marathon and Race Support. The forum supports the sharing of experiences at all levels, and makes use of fitness resources by the NHS as well as mainly freely available resources shared by our community. Of particular note are: • NHS Choices Strength and Flex programme (5 weeks): podcasts, for beginners & continued S&F support for runners: https://healthunlocked.com/strengthandflex/posts/145679354/nhs-5-week-strength-and-flexibility-programme • NHS 12 Week Live-Well Fitness Plan (12 weeks): workouts and running activities, incorporates Couch to 5k (9 weeks), Strength and Flexibility Programme (5 weeks), 3 C25k+ podcasts (Stepping Stones, Speed, Stamina) and instructional pages.: https://healthunlocked.com/strengthandflex/posts/145107072/nhs-12-week-fitness-plan-which-can-be-started-during-the-c25k-consolidation-period Both are perfect for individuals starting a fitness journey and also are a great accompaniment to C25k or the post-C25k consolidation period! Functional Neurological Disorder - FND Hope
5,650 members
FND Hope supports patients and families impacted by Functional Neurological Disorder. We advocate for the men, women, and children who have had their lives turned upside down with physical and often debilitating symptoms. Many of which, were sent home with little information and the reassurance that it will go away on its own. We give FND patients a voice, we lend them our ear. We give everyone a place to call their own and a place to feel secure. We give our members the courage to keep going and the strength they need to endure each day. Most of all… We give them hope.
Ask Norfolk Parents
856 members
Welcome to the Ask Norfolk Parents community. This is a safe and supportive place for families of children and young people to share experiences, find information and gain peer to peer support from each other. Connecting with others who are also caring for children and young people can be really helpful. This community is one where you can have conversations and learn from each other. Most of our members are parents or carers but all Norfolk family members caring for children are welcome, as are parents expecting a baby. The community is moderated by Norfolk and Waveney Children & Young People’s Health Services and Health Unlocked; however, this is a peer-to-peer support forum. If you are worried about your child’s health or development, please seek advice from a health professional. If you are not sure where to go for extra help, check out Just One Norfolk at https://www.justonenorfolk.nhs.uk/. Write a post today to introduce yourself today!

Alopecia UK is a small national charity working to improve the lives of those affected by alopecia through aims of support, awareness, research and fundraising. Despite being a small charity we are still the largest alopecia charity in the UK with big ambitions to develop and grow further. Alopecia UK was founded in 2004 and registered with the Charity Commission of England & Wales in September 2005. Registration with the Scottish Charity Regulator took place in February 2014. We also have a website full of information and support - https://www.alopecia.org.uk/ As well as a very active closed Facebook group - https://www.facebook.com/groups/AlopeciaUK/ Our HealthUnlocked forum is still fairly quiet, as such if you ever find your post goes unanswered or you'd like some further help please consider joining the Facebook group or contacting the charity directly.
