I see that Wizard6787 posted about 8 months ago, about the prevalence of acne/spots. I am getting them on my scalp. Sometimes on my face, but more in my hair, especially the back of my neck area. Wizard does suggest taking Betaine which I do take, but wondered if there is anything else I need to do to clear it up. Does anyone else get this.

Spots on scalp
I got them on EOD injections. A common side effect.
Especially in my hairline face snd neck. Look
Like hard sore whiteheads .
I tried a few things.
Thd main thing is to leave them alone and keep them dry.
I used essential oils in s little alcohol.
Usual spot cleansers .
hello, yes spots in scap. Use least addative/petroleum free shampoo. Found adding 5 drops of essential lavender oil to shampoo lessens outbreaks of spots. Some spots on back of neck lately.
Not sure what answer is.
(Spots on front of neck are hormonal).
Yes, I get them too, in my case above my ears and on the back of my scalp.I'm trying a folliculitis shampoo from Amazon to see if it clears them.
I also get very strange clogged pores on my forehead. Hadn't had acne for about 30 years until I started self-injecting.
Yes, scalp very itchy and sore spots on EOD. Now injections less frequent it has calmed down. Still getting spots on my face that not had for years but they seem to be helped by putting my HRT oestriol gel (the weaker one for local action, not oestradiol) on my face
i had lots of this at the start if injections and they continued for a while. They eventually stopped appearing in their own time. Very annoying but i just kept remembering how much good the jabs were doing me. Hang in there.
I found these acne-type spots were prevalent at the beginning of B12 treatment and would appear along hairline mostly, but also in ears and up my nose. Each spot would heal up after 3 or 4 days if left alone.
After a while, they stopped appearing after B12 injections.
Interestingly, if I have a "blip", a sudden deterioration, subsequent injections are like going back to the start and the spots reappear. This is now a very rare occurrence for me.
Once I found out that this was normal (for us), I saw this as a very small price to pay. Maybe more devastating for younger sufferers or the very few who find these spots continue. For me, a sign that something was at least happening.
If this is a trade-off for hair loss, tinnitus, blurry vision, mood swings, memory loss, anxiety, cognitive issues, muscle loss, sleeping for 14 hours and trouble walking, it seems a fair swap.
Keep going, Chickens44 !
yes. I still get them. I can't back off my frequency of injections so I had to find a way to solve it.
I'm injecting with Hervert cyano.
I take 2mg of Pantothenic acid. Spread throughout the day. That does the bulk of it then I use the Clinique liquid facial soap "oily skin formula" morning and night. This combination worked better than ANYTHING else. It takes a month of the panthotonic acid to see results.
