I ordered zypan enzyme digestive support it has betaine hcl is this what is taken by most everyone on the forum

hello all,

I see some of you take betaine hcl I have read, so my daughter has the product called zypan it contains betaine hcl and other enzymes, is this product different than what most take. or is betaine hcl a product that is sold all by itself?

Yes some P.A. patients on this forum do take Betaine HCl .with pepsin in a capsule . I’ve not heard of Zypan , so I think it’s something from USA , where you are . But it sounds like a pretty helpful supplement for a P.A. patient .( low or no stomach acid — Hypochlorhydria/ Achlorhydria. )

I will look around for just betaine hci, the zypan has bovine organs I think

Yes, betaineHCl can be bought on its own. However, it did not agree with me so I use digestive enzymes that work without acid.

Its just another formulation & I find straight Betain HCL extremely good. Ge it on eBay or Amazon.

I take 18 g of Bertine HCL without any added compounds. I started it to do reduce Homocysteine symptoms and found through trials it prevents my stuffy head and vagus nerve symptoms. I use the powder in water and take 6 times a day.

I am currently supplementing every 3 hours when I am awake and I supplement if my body wakes me up and tells me that is best. Other than magnesium and nitric oxide which I take sometime in the morning.
