Heart medication and common cold

Hello Everyone!

I had a stent fitted after NSTEMI six months ago. Since then I am on the usual cocktail of anti-coagulants, beta blockers, blood pressure reducers and statins. There have been a few expected side effects (stomach upsets etc), but one unexpected one: it seems that I now get a cold every couple of months, instead of once a year as before. Has anyone else had this problem? Could it be something to do with the medication, or is it just coincidence?

I suspect it is both coincidence and that your immune system may be a bit down as HA and or heart surgery knocks you about a bit. Also immediately after your HA we had the worse of the winter and more bugs about.
