Stent pain
Following recent cabg surgery I had further problems and a stent was put into one of the grafts 2 weeks ago. I continue to have chest pain so returned to A&E this week on advice of GP but the consultant is sure it’s stent pain. So why didn’t the cardiac consultant give me pain killers while I was in

Update on stomach mets
Hi Ladies, went to see my oncologist last Wednesday, she put me straight into hospital. Lost nearly 2st. Cannot eat at all, put on a saline drip and high protein food straight into the stomach. Apparently the feeding tube to the stomach has thickened, so wont let food through. They are going to try

I'm pleased to be able to report that I had a stent put in this afternoon and have been signed off to go home tomorrow 😁. Tomorrow's training plan is for a gentle 5 minute walk but it's possible that won't be going on Strava.

But lately I have stated to have panic attacks . First time at a airport while in a queue. Heart rate increases while I am standing

Panic attacks
I had a heart attack and a stent fitted last week. I've started developing severe panic attacks which last for several hours. Does anyone have any ideas as I am at a loss!

Clopidogrel and swollen arm
Hi all, I had a non ST elevation MI with stent to a blocked circumflex artery in January. I’ve taken great comfort and lots of advice from reading the posts on this site but today have a question for the community. For the last week I’ve had a painful arm muscle and over the week quite a few bruises

Advice for s newbie post HA & Stent
Hi all, First time post, looking for advice/knowledge to understand better. I had a HA in early June, a stent fitted in my LV. Completely out of the blue, don’t smoke, don’t drink much, eat fairly healthy and took regular exercise. It’s been classed as ‘severe’, my ejection fraction is 35%, where

Should I go back to consultant?
Thought I was really healthy. Regularly walked 5 miles and enjoyed cycling. Then went to the doctor feeling poorly. Had cabg surgery in May 2019 which obviously saved my life but wasn’t entirely successful. CTCA after cabg showed LAD had severe disease, circumflex had diffuse disease and RCA also had

GTN spray and tablets
Hi, I'm new on here. I had my heart attack in March this year and a stent put in. I've recently been prescribed isosorbide mononitrate tablets - I was told it was instead of my GTN spray and I would never need to use the spray again. Is this right? In some stressful situations I do get mild chest pain

Heart attack at a young age
Hi - I am new here, my husband had a heart attack about 10 weeks ago. He is 32 years old, normally fit and well, non smoker, has an odd drink here and there, but probably not even 1 unit a week! He woke in the night with jaw and arm pain, vomited so I called an ambulance as I knew something was wrong

1 week after Stent
Hi All, I am now one week on from my first stent. I can honestly say it was not the traumatic experience I was bracing myslef for. I'm on a number of pills but that is no issue as I don't seem to be experiencing any massive side effects (fingers crossed!). There are some occasional twinges in my chest

GFR increase
Hey. Morning. Went to the doctor last night and my GFR has gone down. And there are skin cells in my urine this happened when I first got the stent. And the doctor said it was just dead kidney cells. And now it’s back. I am scheduled to have the stent replaced next week. I was really hesitant. But now

3 months post stents
Hi everyone looking for a bit of advice if possible. On 3rd May this year my husband went into hospital and had 4 stents put in. First 10 weeks great, he felt like a new man. Was attending cardio rehab and on the last but one session started getting the old symptoms. On the last session they wouldn

Muscle pain from statin??
Hubby had HA in December, one stent fitted via angioplasty. He is 61. Non smoker, hardly ever drinks. He has recent completed the hospital based cardio rehab classes and can now move on to the classes at our local sports centre. His METS score has improved from 4.3 to 5.8 and he has lost around 1.5 stone
