my latest news
Well ladies, I have had a full six months first with Radiotheraphy and then as a result horrible diahroea. I wasn't well going for the Rt but it seems that wasn't picked up in Dublin. I coped with the side effects as best I could. It was a nuisance and my appetite just went. So back to my own Oncologist

Stress test - 6 months post stent
Just did a final stress test after my 2x LAD stents in December. I managed to push quite hard for 15 minutes - but experienced a very slight left shoulder sensation (which I’ve had before). I’ve been playing football once a week and managing to run for most of it. Letter from consultant said I’d done

Stent recovery time?
So 3 days ago I had a stent put in 95% blocked LAD. No HA, this was a planned procedure following an angiogram 3 months ago. I'd appreciate hearing others' experiences of how they felt after a stent and how long it took to feel fighting fit again. Everything I read online (God bless Google) and heard

Cardiac mri predicting my future
Just over 30 months ago I suffered an acs and subsequent single mid LAD stent. I also have a 30% blockage in my RCA. Because mine and my wife's hobbies are all sports related, mainly surfing and mountain biking, we decided that based on my heart disease diagnosis we would work part time and have less

Abdominal pain
Hi all, thanks for all the support here. This forum has helped me so much throug all the medical issues. I had the TIPS done last July, and when I went into have an ultrasound done (6months post op) they told me my TIPS has occluded, which means there was a blood clot in the stent. I was sedated and

Stressed about stress echocardiogram
This is silly I know but I’ve just got my appointment for a stress echocardiogram, it was expected I had diagnosis of CHD and a stent fitted October 2018 and generally have been OK but had some pain back in March (nothing since). At that time I had treadmill test and all showed OK, I was able to reach

Pericarditis pain killers stopped
Just seen the GP due to continuing pain after over 3 months. Actually worse in the last few weeks. Prescribed naproxen instead of ibuprofen. Had a stent fitted this time last year so she called my cardiologist. As a result all NSAID painkillers other than my low dose asprin have been cancelled. Now seriously

Don’t want to be negative but ....
I had my stent fitted just after Easter this year (6 weeks ago) I have been in constant pain and breathless when doing almost anything normal. I went back to the hospital 7 days after the stent and told it was trauma and bruising. Ten days later I was seen by the BHF rehab team who were very concerned

Two in three months
Had ha in Jan ,did rehab for fourteen weeks then a week later had second ha. The two stents had become blocked ,was it a too small stent or changes to meds. Now told mild to moderate damage to pumping that may recover. Feel let down by GP for sure .no follow up other than at rehab. Non smoker, low drinker

Cold hands and feet
Hi, 2.1/2 years ago I suffered an ACS resulting in a mid LAD stent. I was lucky and suffered no heart damage with a LVEF of 57%. I have been fine since the stenting but have recently started to experience cold hands and feet. I know this can be a symptom of heart failure but I suffer no breathlessness

Post stent tiredness and low pulse
6 days after 3 stents. Still feeling very tired. having odd twinges and aches in chest but I expected that. My pulse often overs around 39 to 41 bpm, before the op it was around 53-55 My meds haven't altered wondering if the low bpm is causing the tiredness

Poor vision
I had a flow stent and coils for a 17mm aneurysm repair done on April 29. It was sitting on the optic chiasm . My vision was good pre and immediately post op, however, 4 days later my vision was blurry and I had to go back to the ER and was admitted overnight for more tests. The MRI and CTscan should

My mum had a cardiac arrest 11 days ago and still hasn't woken up... any advice would be much appreciated.
Hi. My mum suffered a heart attack early morning on the 23rd may and had a cardiac arrest almost instantly. My dad heard her collapse and managed to get to her and start cpr within a minute time frame and the paramedics arrived within six minutes. On arrival they continued cpr before using the defibrillator
