Question regarding the different brands of meds
I'm four weeks post angiogram and stent and this week have been feeling really well. That is until 48 hours ago. I have tingling in my feet and shins. I feel a little light headed on and off. The only thing that has changed is that I am finishing the meds I was given on discharge and starting on the

Heart Rate
I had a heart attack in December 2016 and had a stent fitted. At the end of my heart rehabilitation program the physio advised me not to let my heart rate go above 140. I followed this advice up until last year but after reading a post and some replies I now try to not let my heart go above 120. I

How long does a stent last?
One of my neighbours is not getting much sense out of her GP regarding the amount of time that a stent can last for. Any thoughts?

Embarrassed.
It's four months since my two NSTEMI, stent fitted and all the usual medications taken daily. I have had a tough time accepting what happened to me, as lots of other people on here have. Yesterday I woke up and felt a bit "odd". Very dizzy, breathless, light headed, unsteady and my heart was missing every

Stents . . AND medication ??
Long story short - I live in Malta and earlier this year I was told I needed quadruple bypass, however this was not possible so back in July I was given 3 stents, not 4 as I would have imagined as all 4 arteries were blocked. I was told that the 4th one "wasn't too bad" so it was left . . . Recovery

Niggles after stent
Morning, I was diagnosed with angina back in early June. Sought a second opinion as I was essentially sent home with rampiril and a GTN spray. I ended up speeding up my very slow progress paying for a private angiogram. Cardiologist was sure I was fine and wanted to eliminate concerns. Shock for both

Stress and Fear Relief
Prior to my HA, I ate reasonably well and didn't smoke or drink in excess. But what I did was to live a stressful and not too active life. So these are things I need to change, the exercise part started a few days after my stent procedures, however, the stress has continued as it has become part of my

Can I use an induction hob if I have a stent?
I’m wondering if it’s ok to use an induction hob for someone with a stent? Does anyone know. (No pacemaker or ICD).

Ha ha - you still can’t kill me off
Morning all. I paid yet another visit to the wonderful Lancashire Cardiac Centre yesterday (got my own parking space) for yet another stent. So well looked after and now resting at home but boy my wrist hurts after this one for some reason. That’s three stents now and as my Belgian Cardiologist friend

Marathon training after heart attack
I found my way here by mistake from the British Heart Foundation forum, but am hoping to find a suitable Marathon training program. Six months on from my heart attack & stent I am now jogging ~5km+ on most days each week. I am lucky to live in the Peak District with a choice of hilly trails outside

When Again??
Had a stent fitted in 2016, 85% blockage another blockage could not be done as NICE guidelines need to be above a certain %, the cardiac surgeon said most probably need another in 4 years time (now) at 57. All genetics so now I feel that unconscious bias of waiting for the inevitable, but I did have
