Grateful to be Alive
In January 2019, after experiencing severe breathlessness, I went to hospital and told them of my symptoms. In less than 4 hours, I had an angioplasty and stent placement to correct a 98% blocked “ widow-maker” in my left coronary artery. Since then, I have changed my life completely. I have lost 15

My wife had to have a stent put in due to 70 % blockage in one of her arteries, The doctor said it is called the widow maker, she is okay now. He did tell her within the next 5 years she will need a valve replaced. My sister found out Friday she has breast cancer start chemo on July 16th, they feel it

Anxiety & depression after heart attack.
Hi everyone, recovering from heart attack, had 1 stent fitted and all seems to be going ok. The biggest problem I have is my anxiety and stress + short term memory loss which just compounds the problem. Would be really helpful if any one else has been through this and can offer any words of advice. Its

Stents and Hiatus Hernia.
I am coming up to the one year point of having my stent fitted, overall I am feeling good about my heart, I am still taking Amlodipine, Clopidogrel, Aspirin, Atorvastatin and lansoprazole. This reduces at the end of this month when I stop the Clopidogrel and Lansoprazole . I have a small Hiatus Hernia

Palpitations, ectopic and fibrillations
Hi all, I am 54 years old and I had a HA 11 weeks ago. Stent fitted and put on usual meds, which included ticagrelor. Shortly after discharge I started to get palpitations, ectopic beats and fibrillations. I now get them on a daily basis and I can have up to 15 plus palpitations during a day. I am

Any Insulin dependent diabetics out there, who had elective stent intervention?
Anyone out there who is a insulin dependent diabetic and have had a stent/s fitted as a routine elective treatment, i.e not as a result of a heart attack/emergency ? This is my situation and I'm having 3 stents inserted on 22.7.19 Obviously, given that my arteries are significantly blocked, and the fact

Stent Post-Intervention
I am awaiting a triple stent intervention - booked for 22.7.19 Fortunately for me this is a down graded treatment as initially I was waiting for a quadruple bypass - but a second opinion and revision of my situation has lead me to stents only for now. My question's are - Will I still need to have cardio

GCA update from California
I had a consult with new rheumatologist. He agrees to skip arterial biopsies and based on recent placement of stent for 96% Left Descending Artery blockage; headaches and eye pain and long history of undiagnosed PMR that I should be at 60 mg of prednisone and then after 2 weeks will taper back to 40
