I had a stent fitted last February for 85% LAD blockage followed all the guidelines. However last 2 months been having episodes of extreme fatigue and back pains (across and upper left side) even at rest. GP has agreed cardiac related and upped isosorbide mono. to 50mg twice daily 12 hours apart this has made a significant improvement. Is this a normal meds adjustment or something to go back to cardiologist?

good morning. i’m kinda going through the same at the moment. as you had my HA and stents last february but up until lately i was only on aspirin and 40mg atoravastatin. around march this year angina was getting much worse despite being told that a cant have angina ad it was only a single vessel that was blocked. long story short i insisted on getting angio done where they found restenosis of stent. now my thinking of antisnginals is that if i had been taking them would they have masked the pain i was getting thus instrad of getting required treatment i continued unaware something was going on and had another HA. the whole medication thing makes you think or i’m may just overthink things. as in your case you’ve just got to do what they say. can i ask when they upped your antianginal did the pain go away or did it just dampen it down. just curious. best of luck❤️shiona
Thanks Shoshov. Was symptom free since dosage updated last Thursday. However just walking to car after work yesterday another episode... left shoulder ache followed by a prod in the back and then dull ache across my back for a couple of hours. This sound like you?
