Hello. My 81 year old Mum had a slight heart attack two weeks ago. I had to resuscitate her at home. She is in heart failure and all 3 coronary arteries are very narrow. We were told they would stent her however they suddenly changed their mind and are to discharge her home to die. Is this normal? She

Stents
Hi my mum had a mild heart attack a few weeks ago. She stayed in hospital for a week came home with medication and had a stent fitted. She was told she would have another on the other side but they discharged her. Now she has been called back. I gues my question is why didn't they do it all in one go

Renogram results
I haven’t actually seen the consultants at the BSGE centre I have been referred to yet but yesterday I went for a renogram at their request. At the end of the scan the technician said the results should be sent to my consultant in 7-10 days but then also asked me if I had got a follow up appointment

Is another Bypass an option ?
I had a quadruple bypass in 2007 in my 40's. Everything was fine till 2018 when I had a heart attack and had a stent put in. Things going ok till July this year when almost overnight I couldn't walk far without getting breathless and having heartburn. Due to the current pandemic I had to wait till

Ectopics after stent procedure
My father had a heart attack last weekend and underwent a stent procedure. He had one “large” stent placed with the consultant saying there looked as if there was no damage to the heart. He has experienced heart palpitations, mostly a few ectopics, a few times since he has been home. Is this a normal

A stent for Christmas!
All set for pre-op on the 16th Dec and stent in LAD on 18th Dec...much sooner than I anticipated ,as I was told I would be put on the list and it wouldn’t happen until at least Jan/Feb! Now feeling really scared , I know I shouldn’t as it’s minor compared to most of the things other people on here have

Great news, I can stop taking Lupron
My Oncologist told me today that based on my latest PSA reading (0.01) and scan results, to hold off having my next Eligard shot next month to see what happens to my PSA level. Effectively active surveillance. It was music to my ears, he told me to go on vacation 👏👏👏👏. 12 months ago I went to the

Can you help me help my Dad
Hello, I am new to this group as from today my dad was diagnosed with coronary heart disease. He had an angiogram and was told he may need either a stent or bypass procedure as two arteries are narrowed. I am very worried about all this as it has been very sudden his chest pains. He is very unmotivated

Hi, new here
On 16 November I went to a&e with what I thought was indigestion and 2 hours later I had a massive heart attack that stopped my heart, I woke to see people gathered around me saying it stopped for a minute and they shocked me to bring me back. Flown to John Radcliffe by air ambulance for an LAD stent

What’s your experiences of stenting
Hi there Iv just joined and hope to be able to gain information and support as I had a heart attack in August and had a stent put in. Iv just found out the consultant has come across my papers while cleaning his office and now have to have another one. I’m not too happy as I’d not been told about this

Hello, since HA and stent fitted 7 months ago I have lost about 10kgs. My diet is now fish chicken etc with occasional red meat. I don't eat crisps or chocolate my alcohol consumption has drastically reduced and I'm exercising in the weight loss zone as opposed to high intensity previously. My question
