Hello, since HA and stent fitted 7 months ago I have lost about 10kgs. My diet is now fish chicken etc with occasional red meat. I don't eat crisps or chocolate my alcohol consumption has drastically reduced and I'm exercising in the weight loss zone as opposed to high intensity previously. My question is, is this weight loss too much in the time scale and has anybody else experienced this.
Thanks.

First off - we'll done! 10kg is 22lb which equates to under 1lb/week which is a healthy rate of weight loss so carry on as you are. I assume you are eating healthy amounts of fruit, vegetables and salads. With fruit you have to be careful of the fruit sugars (as fructose).
I lost around 15kg in five weeks when I was in hospital in the run up to and following my amputation. That is too fast and I had to work hard to regain muscle, strength and stamina.
Do allow yourself the occasional treat but not to often!
Hi, sounds good to me and similar to my experience. I minimise saturated fats, no dairy, high fibre, plenty of fruit and vegetables, occasional fish or skinless chicken breast. Little alcohol and plenty of exercise. I have lost 8 kilos over a similar length of time. My wife joined me in the dietary change and has an equivalent weight loss. I expect to stop losing weight soon as I am now only 5 kilos more than I was as a teenager.
That sounds about right for such a drastic diet change. I lost 2 stone in a year after just changing my diet and eating less "nibbles". Because I then got other problems my GP even sent me for cancer tests because I'd lost so much weight but it was purely diet.
