Hi

I had Heart attack 6 weeks ago and had stent fitted, on my release notes it states cardiac rehabilitation referral.

Since leaving hospital I have had one check up for blood pressure and doc asked me if anyone has been in touch about rehab. Told him no one had,

Can anyone advise how long it will be before someone does contact me or after this length of time have they forgotten.

I’m so sorry you’ve had a horrific time.

I don’t have the same as you but wanted to say hi and you’re not alone here.

Lots of people on here I’m sure can empathise with what you’re going through by what I’ve read.

I know they’ll see your post and respond shortly.

It wasn't horrific, I didn't even now I was having heart attacks, and I was well looked after in hospital.

Had 4 minor attack on Tuesday, a couple on Wed, then had stent fitted Friday, home on Saturday.

It wasn't the normal horrific chest pains etc. just pain in my kneck and crushing sensation between my elbows and wrist.

I am getting on really well , just thought that rehab might have contacted me by now.

HiMy rehab from a heart attack in August has largely been done by myself. Have had one visit from the cardiac nurse - which was reassuring - but nothing like the pre-covid rehab programme. I have had one phone clinic from the cardiac team at the hospital and one visit to my GP when I said I was breathless - not much help really. I have found the BHF videos on You Tube quite helpful, not least because they give a good idea of the timings and level of exertion. I was given the phone number for the cardia rehab nurses so it might be worth finding the number for the number for your hospital team, and giving them a call. In my area they are really overwhelmed with trying to catch up with everyone, and not being able to work in their usual way.
