Is another Bypass an option ?

I had a quadruple bypass in 2007 in my 40's. Everything was fine till 2018 when I had a heart attack and had a stent put in. Things going ok till July this year when almost overnight I couldn't walk far without getting breathless and having heartburn. Due to the current pandemic I had to wait till September for a cardiac consultation and ended up having an angiogram. I was told by the consultant that out of my four grafts two had failed and the two left were working well and there wasn't any stent solution. Put on nitrates and given GTN spray. My question is anybody had any similar experience? I've read online and been researching and a second bypass could be a solution?

I hope someone with more similar experience will come along....,,.to share it with you.But can I check? Are you asking if a second bypass is ever possible, after a graft has failed?

It sounds like your consultant is saying it’s not possible in your case, but you can always ask your GP to refer you for a second opinion.

HelloI can't answer your specific question , but I have had a couple of stents put in to my LAD after having had a bypass. I know the Cardiologist wasn't happy with the way the bypass had gone and he thought it would help my breathing to further stent, and it did work, also it cleared up some Angina as well !!!
