Heart attack
Hi. Not really sure what to put. I had a heart attack on the 31st of July. And a stent fitted. I was discharged on the 8th of August. My life style was not great as I'm in recovery and use to abuse steroids. Am trying not to beat my self up to much as I'm scared and very anxious. I.never thought when

I posted on here about my concerns over this. Had it done on Monday. Although perhaps the best day out, it certainly wasn't bad. Had a really nice team in the lab, and with a good dose of sedative was able to watch the procedure on a big screen, so interested when the x ray blocked my view I had to

Family history of coronary heart disease
I'm 59 and just been diagnosed with CHD. I had a bilateral hernia repair in January and when I started exercising again in March I noticed slight chest pain when walking to my spinning class, which would ease off and not reappear even when doing hard exercise. I have a slight hiatus hernia also and

Chest pain
I had a stent fitted 3 weeks ago and started gentle cycling 2 weeks. I am a keen cyclist and would like to know how long it will take to full recovery? Also is very slight chest pain normal after stent installation procedure and how long does that typically last? I am 3 weeks in and just started feeling

Hello, Thank you and does this sound familiar to anyone?
Hello, Thank you all for your posts and sharing so much useful information. I have been quietly reading, whilst I try to adjust and come to terms with my new situation. I had a STEMI in Nov 23 - a full blue light experience, with one stent being fitted. This was followed by a pressure test in January

Angiogram
I have been waiting for this since March. I have watched a lot of videos,.and feel I have become obsessed by the whole thing. I am due to have it on Monday. Got sent a leaflet about what's involved, and the risks which didn't help. I have autoimmune problems and worried about a Stent being rejected

Low Resting Heart Rate
I’m not on beta blockers but whilst sleeping my heart rate seems low, is this unusual? 11 months post NSTEMI stent to LAD. I’m fitter than many (probably 😁) for my age. Plenty of exercise inc running walking. Is this common? I’m on Rampril taken at bedtime. What’s your experience?

This has been mentioned to me by several members of cardiology team as being the only option now. Can't have ablation as recent right coronary artery stent. When they offer it they immediately launch into a long list of potential adverse effects, and my google searches do not fill me with confidence

Ongoing Fatigue/Tiredness 14 months after Nstemi and rca stent.
Good evening. Wondering if many of you have ongoing issues with fatigue. I’ve finished a year of cardio rehab. I’m sure 6 months ago I felt better than I do now. I’ve had my meds changed around recently to no avail. Having different tests done but can’t seem to figure it out. My arteries were quite bad

6 year Anniversary
6 years ago tonight at 3am, I had a heart attack. Now 2 stone lighter, medication much reduced and BP even better than it was although very breathless. BP was good even then. I just wish I could find out how the two other blockages they found are doing. At 64% blocked they weren't deemed bad enough

Coronary angiogram
Saw cardiologist yesterday in Newport, S.Wales. I have aortic stenosis and he is arranging a coronary angiogram. Is that another term for inserting a Stent? If I have to lay flat it would cause me problems. Can I request calming medication or maybe sit up ?

Pericardial Calcification
I had a stent put in about a month ago. It seems to have helped, less tired and breathless. During the procedure I was told that I should have a CT scan as I may have pericardial calcification. Does anyone have experience of this condition or know much about it?

Waiting for the day
Hi all. Its quite emotional for me as I have had a fair old journey to come back to starting the couch to 5k for a second time. My first was before lockdown and, even though i was not able to complete the graduation run as our group was cancelled due to covid, i continued to run. I built up my fitness
