Hi never had anything like your self but looking at your age and operation would think you wouldn't have any energy and would feel tired, your heart has been operated on,it's been handled,so needs time as do you to rest and heal, I wouldn't run any marathons just yet 😅

I had similar to you. I had 3 totally blocked arteries and had 3 stents fitted last year when I was almost 79. I was unbelievably tired and sleeping in the afternoons as well as all night. I was told the trauma to my heart would mean it could take between 3 and 6 months but it has taken nearly 9 months for me to feel more like normal. You will need to be patient and just do what your body tells you. It’s no small thing in our seventies! Good luck from one you has been there

Without sounding flippant, dig out a book that you really enjoyed and regain your focus. I know it doesn't work for everyone but worth a try 😎

I think everyone is different, but I can only recount my own experience. I had a cardiac arrest at home in February, and a second in hospital an hour or so later. I had a stent fitted and was in ICU for 4 days. My LVEF was measured at 30-35% at the time, and I had fractured ribs.

I was very very lethargic for a few weeks, and getting little sleep due to the ribs. I could walk at a very slow pace, but got tired quickly. Gradually over 3-4 weeks I got more energy and could do more exercise and at a faster pace. I still get tired on occasion, but I mostly feel normal now.

Your body has had a traumatic experience, it will take you some time to recover. Go easy on yourself and don't push yourself.
