This is exactly the sort of question that can be answered by your cardio rehab team, since they will know your medical history. So, are you waiting for cardio rehab? If not then find out from your hospital if you are on the list to participate. If you are already on the course ask the team. Otherwise talk to your cardiologist or try the BHF Heart Helpline nurse for a professional opinion. We are all different, fitness, age, general health and our so response to a heart attack and stenting and recovery is also different, so there is no one size fits all. There are people on here who apparently really struggle with life for some time after a heart event and others who are back to running in a short space of time. But the basic rule after an event must be listen to your body as you take exercise and certainly don't overdo it

I could not agree more with the previous advice. I went straight into cardia rehabilitation after my HA; no intervention required- discharged with medication and exercise.

Rehab got me back into exercise quickly- i regularly (weekly) run/cycle/climb/travel - basically doing everything I love with no real limitations. This started 5 years ago but I still routinely attend their sessions in the gym.

Speak to your medical team but don't try and rush things.

Golf requires some very specific and vigorous actions and your medical team need to be aware you want to play this sport and not just want to do some form of unspecified activity

Good morning - think it depends on your fitness etc before hand but my hospital consultant said do whatever your body feels is OK whenever you are ready. I had 1 stent fitted on the day of HA and I played 9 holes bout 10 days later. I was very nervous but everything was fine so I went back into 18 holes couple of days after. I then had a second planned stent bout 10 weeks after.I am lucky to be able to play lots of golf as retired last year. Good luck and hope you get back to it soon.

thanks I had heart attack last week and stent fitted, hopefully find out today how everything went. Fairly fit guy in early 50’s in the gym 4-5 times a week lifting and play golf 1-2 times a week. So this has come as a complete shock. Diet was good, drunk a little, just bloody vapes. But that’s gone.

Appreciate all the replys guys

That's a question for your cardiologist or your GP and depends on how bad your heart attack was and how much damage was done.
