Fainting after GTN
Hi everyone Have posted before but now 4 weeks post my MI and feeling very dispirited. Last week I thought I was making a tiny bit of progress - walking albeit short distances at a snails pace and even managed a short trip into town. Ever since my MI (STEMI) and stent I've had funny pains/twinges/tightness

Steroid injection for knee pain
Hi I have recently been told that I need a knee replacement, but because I have had 3 stents in a blocked artery, I will have to wait 6 months for the OP! I am in quite a bit of pain and this is very dibilating, I cannot walk very far at all. I was wondering if I could have a steroid injection for the

ANGIOPLASTY
Hi specialist is not too happy with my arteries as they are blocked with what he referred to as stable and unstable plaque. He wants to deal with it so going in to have an angioplasty if after checking he deems is relevant and if necessary a stent. Anyone had this procedure (I am sure plenty have)

Pacemaker and induction hob
Hi hearties, I'm new here today. My bio tells my story. I'm currently waiting for the outcome of multiple recent tests following recent MI and stent. I may need a pacemaker plus more interventions. I have an induction hob which I love and would be reluctant to replace. Does anyone have experience of

Potassium 5.5
Hi, I'm a 75 year old man. Have type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, peripheral artery disease. But to be honest, I feel lucky. Had surgery for PAD in April. Big deal. Major bypasses to provide blood flow to legs, stent in left leg. Doing great, walking, etc. That was the first time I ever needed

Heart disease, LP(a) and spinach etc and blood clots
Hi Friends Do greens such as Kale, spinach etc actually increase risk of blood clots ? So I recently found out that I have CAD in 5 arteries including a medium blockage in my LAD. Was very marginal for a stent but they decided not to at this point because I have a flow of 0.81 / they stent at under

Bisoprolol
Hi, not been on for a while. I've been on bisoprolol since my HA and stent 19 months ago, all fine but after initial weight gain, which I've stabilised, I just can't lose any despite exercise classes and gym 4 times a week and healthy eating. I've read Bisoprolol could be the culprit and that it's recommended

Anyone else getting tired two months after a stent?
I am a 64-year-old man who had a HA and stent two months ago. Currently on aspirin, clopidogrel, lansoprazole, elantan, atorvastatin, and ramipril. Been cautiously active since, including some recent gentle 1-hour gym sessions as part of my cardio rehab. I find that I get a tired, washed-out feeling

Update on LVV relapse, and thoughts please?
As you might remember, I have been on Actemra since 2020, prescribed for LVV. At the end of June, blood tests showed that I had relapsed, although I had no physical symptoms. I had been off pred for 68 weeks and had stretched the Actemra tabs to 4 weekly, and had had 12 jabs at 4 weekly intervals when

M.I. 12 years ago now sudden Angina & I'm scared.
Hi Everyone. I had a heart attack in 2012 aged 48. The left circumflex artery was completely blocked. I had a stent fitted and they saw no evidence of any problems with the other arteries. A lifelong smoker, I stopped at that point. I did all of the cardiac rehab classes and the phase 4 gym sessions

Angiogram
Well today was my third angiogram. Was,nervous this morning before I went. The staff at basildon were very good. Ended up having another stent this time in the right artery. Wish I had had a bit more sedation as it was quite uncomfortable. In a way I was pleased I had to have another stent as at least
