Starting a hopeful course of RT
I'm about to embark on a 44-session radiation treatment which my RO calls "out of the box." Diagnosed in summer of '17 with gleason 8, I immediately started ADT with 6-month Lupron and daily 500 mgs Zytiga (half-strength due to liver stress). PSA has been undetectable for well over a year. The

Zytiga and intermittent fever
Hello everyone, my dad’s oncologist wants to start my dad on Zytiga. Our only concern is my dad had sepsis about a month ago, two surgeries and is not eating well. Now he’s also been having intermittent fever. He was on chemo prior to the sepsis. The oncologist said it’s ok to proceed with Zytiga.

Survival after radiotherapy vs. radical prostatectomy for unfavorable intermediate-risk prostate cancer
"When including only
radiotherapy
patients who received ADT and, in the case of EBRT, a total dose ≥ 7920 cGy, there was no statistically significant difference in survival when comparing RP to EBRT or brachytherapy."

PSA bounce 1 yr. after radiation therapy
Hello Everyone, Great to be back in touch -- and I appreciated your previous input, which helped me settle on my particular radiation treatment, high does rate brachy/ monotherapy (HDR). HDR helped me avoid the combination of low dose rate (LDR) seeds and beam radiation initially recommended to me.

Lobectomy in3 days
Lung cancer was picked up at a
radiotherapy
scan by an oncologist who was to plan my
radiotherapy
. This tumour is 2.7cm and is upper right lobe. I’m to get a right lobe Lobectomy and I’m quite scared. It’s to be a vats procedure but this is my 3rd surgery since February.
