Possible longer-term effects of pelvic radiotherapy
I completed 7 weeks of daily RT last year as the final step in my therapy for prostate cancer. I am still experiencing some minor to moderate effects on my bowels and have been told that I can expect some improvement over the next 12 months. I am keen to discover what others have found to be helpful

Chose SBRT over brachytherapy, but is long term survival the same?
I have pretty much decided to do SBRT. I had SpaceOAR last week and I have the pre-radiation appointment this Tuesday. Then approximately two weeks later radiation starts. I am second guessing myself now as my brother also has Prostate Cancer, and his doctors telling him that Brachytherapy (In his case

No surprise really, but I’m gutted as I was on track with my training and really looking forward to it. They are offering a virtual run where you can still get a medal and t shirt or defer to 2021. What with Parkrun no longer happening it’s hard to stay motivated. Sooooo. I’ve decided to run the virtual

VMAT Radiation Treatment side effects
Last week I completed 20 VMAT sessions with little to no side effects or discomfort. However this week, fatigue is setting in as well as frequent loose bowel movements. I still have my Prostate and it is pretty sore as well. I was warned frequency was likely to occur, so I'm not surprised. I know everyone

Full body rash after treatments - related?
Hi all. My father was diagnosed with PCa at stage IIC in March, 2020. His treatments have included brachytherapy, ADT, and about 30 radiation treatments. He finished the radiation therapy in early August and is still on ADT. After he completed radiation, he broke out all over his body in a bumpy, itchy

Proton Therapy after Robotics and PSA
Radiologist advised against proton radiation therapy because his last PSA was <.1. His oncologist thinks radiation is indicated unless <.05. What lab has PSA testing that is this precise? He was Stage 3 Prostate Cancer.

Abiraterone vs Enzalutamide + Radiation
There are many reports on the beneficial effect of concurrent abiraterone when undergoing
radiotherapy
, but not many discussing enzalutamide.

Liver Damage after radiation?
Regarding my previous post, I just wonder why my husband’s oncologist should have ordered for a Liver MRI? Is it normal to do so or MRI usually given if the damage is intensive? I googled the purpose of MRI and I came across few terms such as liver cancer , hepatitis , cirrhosis and Lesions that could

External Beam Radiation Therapy for High Risk/Locally Advanced PCa: The Shifting Landscape
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HkopU_7-qiI One of the interesting points was involving RT of prostate bed vs RT of prostate bed plus whole pelvic lymph nodes in lymph node positive patients --- no benefit and no over all survival benefit to RT lymph nodes... their trial results does not support radiating

Any suggestions for combatting muscle weakness please?
I had a course of
radiotherapy
on it and the situation is improving but I still have the lung and adrenal gland tumours. My leg muscles are now poor. I sit and rise unsupported with difficulty. I keep doing it as an exercise. Walking is OK for short distances and I have cycled once.

Pain flare prophylaxis--Dr. Sartor high testosterone therapy--
I am aware that men with bone mets often get Dexamethasone to possibly avoid having pain flare after
radiotherapy
to treat bone mets pain. So, is it possible that Dexamethasone can be used briefly right before getting the high testosterone injections?

Good morning hope all is well with you guys.... So basically these are all of my results over the past few years - I finished treatment for right tonsil cancer September 2018. I’ve always thought that my thyroid was sluggish due to having a nodule but this was tested by FNB in 2014 and came back as
