New on here
Her scan shortly after finishing
radiotherapy
showed a reduction in the tumour by 22mm (almost half). The doctor said that it's excellent news. The doctors also seem so surprised that my mum looks so well for her age and is in such good shape (she turns 71 on Sunday). My mum is doing really well.

A biochemical definition of cure after brachytherapy for prostate cancer - Radiotherapy and Oncology, Published: April 27, 2020
Looks like 4 years of <0.2 PSA post-treatment gets you a "biochemical cure". (= disease-free beyond 10 years.)
Study Highlights • Close to 80% of men 4–5 years after LDR prostate brachytherapy will achieve a PSA of 0.2 ng/ml or less. • PSA ≤ 0.2 ng/ml is associated with 97–99%

Has anyone changed from letrozole & ibrance to tamoxifen after progression of tumors?
Oncologist has suggested
radiotherapy
for the new tumor (she had 2 days ago and so far so good) and a change of meds to tamoxifen (she had after first treatment for breast cancer 11yrs ago!) just wondering if tamoxifen will help slow the tumors? Has anyone has this experience?

Antihypertensive drugs & PCa-specific mortality
Alashkham et al. [26] showed that biochemical recurrence was decreased after curative-intent
radiotherapy
with hormone treatment among users of RAS-inhibiting drugs as compared to non-users.

Potency-Sparing Radiation

Spots on brain discovery
So this is very rare apparently and I'm now on a ten day
radiotherapy
treatment cycle over the next two weeks. I feel ok, sleepy and a little sickly but nothing too bad.

I am recovering from Vulvia cancer had 26 treatments of
Radiotherapy
and 6 of chemotherapy in June/July last year. I am healing well though I still get a little itchy and I was told to use dilators which if I use size no 2 can cause me to bleed a little is this normal.

Anyone with SSC and breast cancer?
Im having a lumpectomy and intensive
radiotherapy
next week- possibly chemo aswell if there are any cells found in my lymph nodes. I know SSC has an increased cancer risk- with breast cancer the most common. Has anyone on here gone through this? How did it affect your Scleroderma ?

Latest CT Scan and Radiation
Of course this is mostly a link to a blog post, but the highlights along with a few extra details exclusive to this forum are: 1) I had a great response to chemotherapy. My liver metastases have resolved leaving the bladder tumor as the only spot left visible on a CT scan (other than the extensive bone

Radiotherapy
, targeted therapies and surgery can also make your skin more sensitive. Your team will be able to tell you whether your treatment can cause sensitivity and any other effects. The most effective way to protect yourself from the sun is to stay indoors or in the shade.

In need of advise for my father
He immediately had bi-lateral orchiectomy, and thereafter when the PSA began to rise, he was prescribed Xtandi (lasted ~6 months) and subsequently had some
radiotherapy
to the pelvis and spine (pain management). The pain returned and the MO suggested Docetaxel.
