People of HU: Awaiting Open Heart Surgery
I learned I have a mild aortic stenosis, and this had probably been caused by
radiotherapy
for breast cancer on my left side. I was also suffering with central aortic regurgitation, which the doctor considered to be severe. To say I was stunned is an understatement.

Testosterone “Flare” (Or Testosterone?) Timing to Optimize Salvage Radiation Therapy
I have referred to the following article a few times in response to some posts about the use and timing of ADT when used in addition (adjuvant) to improve outcomes from salvage radiation therapy for BCR for failure after primary prostate treatment (surgical or radiation or other). Also for recurrences

Brain mets; what next? Is it hopeless?
I am to have a single course of
radiotherapy
to the brain (five days) after which there is no treatment. Needs to be arranged... possibly not for a few weeks. Later, perhaps some drug which is better at passing into the brain than herceptin/perjeta. Anyway the outlook is not good.

Pelvic radiation
Radiation treatment to prostate and pelvis 16 months ago. Since then proctitis that is getting worse. Anal bleeding. Constipation ferritin levels sink dramatically from iron infusion in February 2022 to May 2022 level of 15. Hospital appears not to know how to treat my condition. What can I do?

What genetic / genomic information does a BMB give that bloods don’t?
Monitoring and surgery plus
radiotherapy
deals with them. I’m also needing more frequent transfusions to maintain any kind of decent QoL. The haematologist I see whom I thought was prepared to try Fedratinib for me has changed his mind.

So Tired
Finished 20sessions of
Radiotherapy
on 1st December, I was told that this causes tiredness, but it's still going on. I generally fall asleep after lunch for about 60 minutes! Is this normal & how long does it last?
