hypothyroid and flu-like symptoms
Hello, I’m just wondering if there is any link between hypothyroidism and flu-like illness. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in 2013 after radiation treatment for lung cancer. I feel like I have the flu approximately once a month and this has been going on for years. I never have a cough but sore

Rationale for blind radiation to the bed of the prostate
Wife would like to ask what the rationale is for SRT without a biopsy or any kind of imaging. My psa went from .08 on 1/17/22 after almost 3 years of undetectable psa.. Most recent psa was .21 on 8/5/22. Urologist encouraged to have radiation therapy to the bed as original gleason score was 8 on

I am hoping that the above symptoms are side effects of her treatment - does anybody know if headaches and/or wheezing can be long-term side effects of chemotherapy/
radiotherapy
?

Lumpectomy and CKD with eGFR 23%
I am due to have a lumpectomy and sentinel lymph node removal using radioactive dye. My eGFR is only 23%. After the operation I am due to have radiation therapy. Has anyone else had this done and do you know if the radiation or dye will lower my eGFR of 23%. I am very worried at the moment as I don't

Overwhelmed
Four years ago, when I was eighty-one, |Following the advice of the oncologist, I had six sessions of
radiotherapy
in weekly doses after a lumpectomy but was considered too old for chemo.

Post pelvic radiotherapy issues
Hi, I had 5 sessions of
radiotherapy
to sacrum, last one on Monday this week. Had a lot of "grumbling" in tummy. Started to experience sharp pain in one side of rectum when opening bowels since yesterday. Stool is soft and it is also painful just passing wind.

New research article about cancer DNA damage repair.
These new findings shed new light on how cancer cells react to chemotherapy and
radiotherapy
, and also uncover a new way in which cancer can become resistant to targeted treatments.

Switch of corticosteroids from prednisone to dexamethasone
Since
radiotherapy
December 2020, it has taken around fourteen months for my PSA to go from 0.07 to 1.2, with slow and steady progression of about 25% every four weeks. Obviously exponentially, I'd like to make sure it doesn't go from 7 to 1200 the next fourteen months!

Bruising - random, quite deep?
