I am on a host of anti depressants and anti anxiety drugs. I felt a lot of my problems related to thyroid problems and in august last year

Goitre & supplementing selenium & iodine
Does anyone supplement with selenium & iodine? I have a multi-modular goitre which is not really causing any problems. I do not take any thyroid medication. I have had a lot of blood tests done because I have a lot of unexplained symptoms like fatigue, insomnia, aches, brain fog, digestive issues etc

Why do I have heart palpitations with these thyroid results?
Hello beautiful people. I would love to get your input as to why I get heart palpitations, high pulse and HBP with my current thyroid and other results. Yes, my TSH is slightly raised, but it actually went down from 6.9 in Nov to 4.9 in Feb on Levo 75 mcg, so it should continue to go down. I've

HiI have Graves disease - diagnosed 30 Sept 22 with zero TSH and high TRAB count. Carbimazole 40mg less than 3 weeks and neotrophils dropped with slightly raised AST and ALT liver enzymes. Endo told my GP to stop that and go on PTU. One week on only beta blockers then started 400mg PTU. Liver enzymes

Exhausted.
I am 30 years old. I started menstruating at the age of 10. When I was around 14, I would have these random "attacks" of abdominal pain that left me crippled. There have been occasions my mum had to lift me out of the bath, because I felt like my insides had totally twisted. Now, I shower. But there

CT scan iodine query
Hi. My cardiologist has booked me in for a CT cardio scan to rule out heart disease. This uses iodine based dye to show up the arteries. My question is, would that type of iodine (guessing it's a compound) impact my thyroid at all? I have asked the scan department and they've asked that I contact the

Iodine and the thyroid
Could someone help with explaining this article I found on the British Thyroid Foundation site. I eat salmon. Is this to be avoided due to its iodine content? Or is it good for hypothyroidism? I have added this to my diet over the last 6 months. Can this affect the thyroid e.g going overactive or

I am currently taking 300 mg Pregabalin around 7pm and 2x 30 g of codeine (sometimes 3x 30g) during the night. I am also taking ferrous sulphate at 10pm each night. This isn’t working. I take the first codeine half an hour before bedtime and maybe sleep for 1 to 2hours. I then have to walk around/have

Newly diagnosed
Hi all, diagnosed 4th May after episode of very rapid heart beats that wouldn't stop. Went to A & E where the diagnosis of AF was made. Stayed in for 5 days while they did CT scan of lungs and ultra sound of leg. Reason for that was that I had no symptom at all until a partial knee replacement 2nd March

Thyroid hormone journey: Metabolism
For anyone who is trying to understand things like T4:T3 conversion, the deiodinase enzymes, how thyroid hormones move round the body and into cells, and so on. Make sure you have plenty of time undisturbed. It is very long! Follow the link. Read - slowly. :-) [i]

Not reacting well to T3
Hello All, I wonder if there are people here who have not reacted well to T3? This is the second time I'm trying to take it. First time, it was about 5 years ago when I needed to raise my T3, it was at 20% range. I took just 5mcg of compounded T3 as per my Doc advice and started to feel anxious,
