For anyone who is trying to understand things like T4:T3 conversion, the deiodinase enzymes, how thyroid hormones move round the body and into cells, and so on.

An area of uncertainty and some disagreement.

I have seen someone improve within minutes of taking some desiccated thyroid. But it is necessary for there to be sufficient on a continuous basis for real, lasting improvement.

There has been insufficient research into the detailed processes. And there is also the problem that the first impact is more likely to be from the T3 content than the T4.
