Hi, im hoping someine can relate.I was diagnosed with Endometriosis about 11 years ago and have had my left tube and ovary removed on my 3rd laparoscopy. Stage 4 OC — Deposits on liver
Hi ladies! Could do with a bit of advice, as am spiralling a bit. For context, my Mum (54) was diagnosed with HGS stage 3c/4a OC in Jan 2022. BRACA gene negative. Immediately started three rounds of chemo, then had optimal debunking surgery and full hysterectomy, and continued with three more rounds

Surgery for fallopian tubes removal
Hi Has anyone had fallopian tubes removed but ovaries and uterus left intact? I've been advised to have this surgery through keyhole , ct scan shows abscesses in tubes. Although six months ago another scN showed abscess near uterus and one doctor mentioned hysterectomy. The doctor I saw this morning

Multiple conditions leading to burnout
Hi everyone, Any constructive advice welcome. To give context, I have PCOS, endo, degenerative discs, lymphocytic colitis and my gynae now thinks I have adenomyosis too. I also suffer with frequent migraines. My consultant has recently advised I am likely to need a hysterectomy and has discussed injections

Bowel preparation before surgery
Hi everyone! 💛 Just been on pre op assessment and nurse said I don’t need to do bowel preparation at home. I will have hysterectomy with bowel resection and Endo excision. Has anyone had bowel preparation at hospital just before the operation? I am quite concerned what is going on 🤷♀️

Effect of Age on Treatment Outcomes
Here is a recent study that shows having an older age (ranging from 65-75) results in a more favorable outcome when doing radiation treatment (i.e., older is better). The opposite is true for radical prostatectomy (RP) treatment. Namely, the older you are, the worse the outcome is after RP. https:

still unsure about hysterectomy, been waiting over 1 year for op date, and taken a year to see consultant for a discussion
Was diagnosed with deep filtrating endometriosis and adenomyosis in 2019 following an MRI, and I am now awaiting a laporoscopy (been waiting over a year) and want to be under anaesthetic for that experience. Having a mirena coil was a positive thing for me, as stopped alot of the pain and heaviness of

Advice on egg freezing and hysterectomy for severely heavy bleeding
Hi everyone, I'm doing a little bit of research so I can take a huge stack of notes to my next gynaecology appointment, and wondered if anyone was able to share their experiences. I'm looking at potentially freezing some of my eggs, as I have endometriomas. I'm still undecided as to whether I want children

endometriosis on uterine artery.
I had my second surgery yesterday. Surgeon removed a lot of endo but was unable to remove it from my uterine artery due to the risk of hysterectomy and we would like to have another baby at some point before I go down this route. I was just wondering if anyone else has this? Were you able to conceive

Abiraterone, Prednisone, Apalutamide combo Improves Prostate Cancer Outcomes, Leaves HRQoL Unaffected
Oncological outcomes improved with the addition of abiraterone acetate (Zytiga) plus prednisone (AAP) and apalutamide (Erleada) after radical prostatectomy and did not significantly affect health-related quality of life. https://www.targetedonc.com/view/abiraterone-prednisone-apalutamide-improves-prostate-cancer-outcomes-leaves-hrqol-unaffected

A bit shell shocked by Hysterectomy recommendation
I was originally diagnosed with Endo in 2007 after a diagnostic laparoscopy. In 2015 my symptoms started to rear up again but I kept putting off going to see someone. Last year the heavy bleeding and pain got so bad I went private to see someone and had a further laparoscopy in December 2023. During

hysterectomy
hi all I’ve just had an appointment with my consultant and looking for some advice..I’m 42 with severe endo and he’s advised a total hysterectomy with hrt.. but he’s advised me the wait will be another yr 😞 AGAIN! Anyway because of the wait he has suggested I start the process early by having an injection
