Lung Cancer Stigma
Mom had
quit
smoking
over 30 years ago and was 67 when she died. The thing that sticks in my head and annoys me so much is the stigma and the lack of funding this disease gets.

First post!
I
quit
smoking
just over a year ago using Nicorette quick mist spray. I smoked for 20years so was delighted at how the NRT worked for me, as i have tried everything else and failed.

It's amazing this site, it really is. I come on and read for a bit and learn so much about myself, just by listening to others. Some of you struggling a bit, some of you determined, some of you scared, some of you down and some of you absolutely jubilant. Every time I read someone's post it gives me

Week 1: painful but great, also helped me
quit
smoking
! I repeated week 1 twice, the second time round I was smoke-free and it was so much better. Now I'm erm in the second repeat of week 2, chiefly because my legs start to hurt:( Though it's getting better.

Anyway however bumpy the ride is and however many problems you think you have to suffer in order to
quit
smoking
it is nothing compared to what you will gain if you become a NON SMOKER. Sorry to use this photo again but I think it says rather a lot about this smoking addiction.

STOP SMOKING TIPS
Let your friends and family in on your plan to
quit
smoking
and tell them you need their support and encouragement to stop. Look for a
quit
buddy who wants to stop
smoking
as well. You can help each other get through the rough times.

Not been on since last week.
The
quit
smoking
advisor was slightly better last week I am pleased to announce. I sat there being Mrs Angry, angry about being induced to smoke in the first place, angry about the process of quitting and angry at life in general, so she made up for the previous two visits!
