Sleeping problem
I don't know if it's just me but, I can't sleep on my left side, my hop feels like it's moving out of its socket, so painful. I sleep on my right side but my shoulder wakes me with pain so I try to sleep on my back, but the headache is torture. I only get it while sleeping on my back. It's like my head

Question about Quinine
Hello everything, I have a question about this drug and would greatly appreciate some advise on it. I am currently doing a methadone detox and right down to 6mg. For the past 5 days I have been given this drug for cramps && RLS. They're telling me it can take up to two weeks for it to work for RLS.

Does anyone have chronic muscle spasms/cramps?
Hi I suffer from terrible cramps in my toes and abdominal area. I take Quinine every day but it doesn't get rid or them. I am not sure if it is not working or that without it they would be worse. Anyone else suffer from this and do you take anything else?

Everyone suffering from leg cramps!
Yes quinine works as my 85 year old mother used to take that! But it's not the problem!! Fix it in days right! Read my reply to Ducker as that is your body asking for what it needs don't quiet the scream with drugs that add stress to you liver!! I am a Naturopathic Doctor and solve this issue quickly

Has anyone else got a Bakers Cyst?
It is a cyst usually at the back of the knee and can be painful. It presents a lump and they can get quite big. It makes kneeling and squatting excruciating painful possible only for seconds at a time, in my case. I noticed the lump long after the physical problems developing. The synovial fluid

I have had mild RLS for years but after a hip replacement last July and coming off morphine 3 months ago, my RLS is unbearable.
It is mostly in my left leg and also I have a need to constantly flex the muscles in/around my sacroilliac, left side. This is the side that my hip replacement was done. I have had several blood tests and there was nothing significant. Am taking quinine sulphate and folic acid but not really any

quinine bisulphate and CKD
Since my last posting I have found more info. on the use of Q Bi-Sulph for leg cramps. It is not recommended, as one side effect is stated to be possible renal failure. Why then, I wonder, was I prescribed it many moons ago at 50 (I am now 81) when I was already at least Stage 2? I can only think

Pain Quinine and other medication.
I've had quite a lot of muscle pains, I had a spasm in the trapezius muscle two months ago and due to mortons neuroma had a spasm last week in which my toes went in different directions. These have both left me in pain. My GP suggested quinine tablets or tonic water but I am not sure if the adverse

quinine to treat cramps and cll patients.
has anybody any comment to make regarding the above. My husband has been given two different opinions, one the cll consultant saying quinine should be avoided and a registrar saying it is perffectly suitable.

Is anyone else bothered with leg and foot cramps? I have PV Jak 2 negative.
After each venesection for about 2-3 weeks I get bothered with leg and foot cramps, particularly in bed at night. I asked my haematologist and was told it was probably due to low iron levels and that drinking tonic water (quinine) would help. When I mentioned to the cramps to my GP he just laughed as
