Severe intercostal muscle ( I think )pain
Does anyone else get this? I don’t know if connected to PMR or not. In desperation, I went to A and E early Sept. Started off early hours in the morning with awful pain between shoulder blades ( thought Reflux) went on to terrible pain like severe cramp in my ribs, I couldn’t move, lie down, hurt to

EMG & NERVE CONDUCTION STUDIES
Finally, after a year wait to see a Neurologist in July past (2019) I have been referred for EMGs and Nerve Conduction Studies as she noted severe muscle wasting from just below my calves on both legs. No muscle left round my ankles, very minimal left. So today I had the tests, plus some special ones

How to deal mentally with diagnosis?
Mum is stage 4 NCSC and soon to be starting on keytruda. It’s an odd ‘in limbo’ time as the words of the doctor saying the chemo hasn’t worked are still ringing. That combined with a new treatment which we will need to wait 3 months to see if effective. Mum is really anxious. Physically, mum is doing

Not sure whether to go onto lexapro for chest pains or not?
Hi there, I've been bothered with anxiety ie. chest pains for the last 4mths. Sometimes its completely gone but mostly it's there a little most days. I was doing a FT course, got stressed and its been ongoing, I'm not working at the moment which is worrying me too and I feel I'm being bullied behind

Respite report
I think the respite people are a little panicked. I have had a call from them both days Larry has been there. I am having to reassure them. Larry is groaning. They thought he was in pain. He told them he isn’t. Looking that up online it is a late stage symptom. Called the social worker and let her know

Diazepam suppository, should it burn?
I am hoping someone can answer this question and provide me with some reassurance. My PT wanted me to try the diazepam suppository before I see her next week. I just tried it, reluctantly. But as soon as I inserted it vaginally it started burning. I mean like seriously burning. Made me feel very anxious

Post lumbar microdiscectomy surgery/recovery
I had an endoscopic microdiscectomy on my L5/S1 on 21st June 2019 after suffering agonising/debilitating pain from March 2019 (the surgery was only fast-tracked due to private medical insurance). I was advised the usual, to not bend, twist or lift anything heavier than 2lbs in the first 6 weeks. Not

Doc thinks it could be ibs
Hi. I'm new to here. Been feeling a bit crappy for 6-7 weeks now. Been back and forth to the doc. He said last week that he thinks it's ibs. I've had diarrhea and really bad stomach cramps. Started having panic attacks and thinking the worst. He's put me on fluoxetine and diazepam (stopped taken that

Diazepam or promethazine with sertraline
Can not remember whether I have asked before what people’s views of either taking diazepam or promethazine to help with anxiety whilst waiting for sertraline to level out
