has anyone dropped HR lower than 40 BPM on Sotalol ? What steps were taken by the EP to resolve?
my husband is newly diagnosed with paroxysmal AFib -along with PVCs and PACs. We have chosen to have an RF ablation in about 6 weeks. EP Doc put him on Sotalol 80mg 2 x day. He was on this dosage for 3 days and his HR dropped into the low 40s and lower. His normal HR is 50-60 --he was exhausted, short

Metoprolol
Is metoprolol 12.5 2x a day a small dosage? I just got that prescribed for pvcs and I’m reading that if I stop using it I can get a heart attack or severe palpitations. Is that true? Or is that for higher dosages?

PVCs during exercise
So today I get home from work and decide I want to do a workout on my bike. And I started to get pvcs and it scared the heck out of me. I’ve suffered from pics for over 10 years and had ekg-echo-chest X-ray and blood work ups and no structural heart were found. I do have anxiety and I just wondered if

PVCs are ruining my life
Hi all I suffer from anxiety/depression pvcs and from what I think is NSVT. I’ve been diagnosed with pvcs. I’ve had pvcs on and off for over 10 years and they are back and far worse from before. I get the occasional hard thud and lately run of fast pvcs witch drive my anxiety up the roof. EKG,chest

General advice please
Hi, I’d like to introduce myself, I’m Liz and a fit and healthy 49 year old who has never smoked. I was a passive smoker until the age of 21 and since then work in an area that does have smoke. I noticed last year I was getting increasingly short of breath, and in January this year developed pneumonia

Nervous to start flecainide acetate For PACs, PVCs, and tachycardia
Hi I am a 32 y/o female who has been taking metoprolol 25mg extended release for a few years now for some PACs, PVCs and tachycardia (tachycardia was never above 130) The metoprolol is making my blood pressure very low and my new cardiologist switched me to flecainide acetate but I’m nervous to start

Spirometry test results COPD?
I’ve just had results of spirometry test FEV1 83% predicted FVC 88% predicted Ratio FEV1/FVC 68% POST FEV1 90% predicted Test says might be early signs of copd and I’m really scared. I’m 46 and haven’t smoked for 15 months. I always seem to have a cold although I’ve started taking hay fever pills

Vitalograph USB, Serial &Bluetooth Respiratory Monitors
Hi Everyone, I was wondering if anyone could recommend which respiratory monitor would be best to buy or even just explain the differences. I like to monitor myself as it gives me more drive than an 18 monthly appt. with someone who generally speaking isn't very interested, as they seem to believe it's

Pvcs
Hello everyone don't know if anyone suffers pvcs quite frequently, because I'm finding it hard to cope with, I've had myocarditis in the past and it all started after that just wondering if anyone is going through a similar situation.

Full lung function test
Had test this morning the would only tell me part of the test. FEV1 improved from 62% without inhaler to 79% without inhaler. Get rest of results tomorrow and full explanation from consultant tomorrow. Hope it's good news. As coming to the end of my journey, hopefully will be able to start action planning

Hi guys just an update on my situation. Had spirometry reversibility test today 3 weeks after having spirometry in work that pointed towards copd or asthma.
