Piko issues
So my new Piko arrived today. It's even smaller than I thought which is great. Problem is, I can't get the damn thing to work properly! 1) I can't seem to set the FEV1 zone. Managed the PF but every time I do what the manual says all I can do is reset the max PF, not the FEV1, and it has some odd ideas

How do I improve my lung function?
I've been trying hard over the last 6 months to increase my exercise tolerance. I've lost nearly 5 stone in weight and can walk a lot further now than this time last year when I was using my mobility sccoter. My exercise tolerance has increased. I went for lung function whilst in clinic last week,

Just a bit fed up and in need of a moan...
Having huge probs with my son and his asthma at the moment. He is currently on his 4th week of being low. We have had numerous attendances to the ward for nebs and are having close follow ups with the Brompton. His appointment last week was a little disheartening as he had a fev1 of 34% and only had

piko and fev1
Hi to all you piko users out there. Does anyone know how reliable the fev1 reading is. My son was in hosital this weekend and they used our peak flow meter, although his peak flow varied a bit by about 30 l/min his fev1 reading was pretty constant. If this reading is accurate I should probably speak

Venting for a moment...(warning this is long)
I feel so bad whinging here, as I know many of the members here have much much more severe asthma than what I've got. I caught a cold a week ago, started with a sore throught on Monday, Tues the runny nose, no fever just slightly elevated ( 37.5-37.7). Wednesday morning I had increasing asthma symptoms

Pulmonary Function Report
We recently changed hospitals and specialists. My son was for the first time earlier this year, given a full Pulmonary Function Test - blowing into a device connected to some software on a PC. For the first time ever we saw how his FEV1 (amount he can blow in first second) was only 72% of what it should
