Exercise and PVC's
I had a heart attack, caused by a clot according to my cardiologist albeit I have clear coronary arteries and no sign of CAD in the main arteries. I do have slight disease in one of the minor arteries but it is too small to stent and my treatment is medication only. Prior to heart attack I was exercising

Ablation or not?
So due ablation in October for ectopic beats mix of pvcs snd supra ventricular ectopics about 8000 a day was getting more snd felt terrible when cardioligist tried me on beta blocker and calcium blocker. But when he stopped them for me they started to im prove slightly and I've kind of got use to them

A ‘Normal’ Day
Hi everyone, I’ve had a journey on bisoprolol so far and I can’t at this stage say I’m completely happy with the medication nor whether I am tolerating it all that well. I still feel like my breathing is quite laboured at times and keep petrifying myself with google searches that I have given myself

Cryo ablation
Hi All, After my first cryoablation for af last year my EP told me that he didn’t manage to get it all during the op as he didnt have all the equipment he needed at the time. Thankfully I’ve not had any episodes of af post ablation but do get a fluttering sensation a few times a week which can sometimes

I just recently had another Holter monitor and my
PVC
burden has dropped from 12.9% to 4.1% .. is that enough ? How bad is a 4.1% in 24 hours?

"normal" FEV1 and PF, and Small Airway Inflammation
My peak flow and my FEV1 are higher than the predicted, even when I get sick (for me <700 on the PF bad news, so is 110% on the FEV1). I found a few research papers on pubmed suggesting that PF and FEV1 are only sensitive to the medium to large airway function, and not sensitive to the small airway

Confusion over diagnosis
Hello, I posted about a month ago as I was told by respiratory consultant that I did not have COPD but did have asthma. The diagnosis was made as my FEV1 was 88% and showed a positive reversibility following Salbutamol of 250 ml. However, during a follow-up appointment with a respiratory nurse, the

Ablation for a 78 yom
I am a 78 Tom. Healthy other than cardio issues of afib. In 2017 I had an ablation which worked for two years. Then sporadic AF for a year. This year (2021) AF back with pulse rate of 162. The controlling med, Amiodarone was prescribed for six months. With the AF I had premature ventricular contractions

How did you get here? What caused your COPD, ACOS, Bronchiectasis or whatever?
I saw this thread running on another forum and thought it was interesting. For me I had mild asthma as a child, I also had bronchiolitis, scarlet fever and the odd asthma attack up to the age of about 6. I have a strong familial connection to respiratory illness with no Alpha One. I foolishly smoked

Feelings about FeNo testing
I have read a lot of comments about FeNo testing recently and am very interested to know different viewpoints. My consultant said it was going to become part of the gold standard for testing for asthma and lung inflammation and should be in every surgery. He even thinks eventually we (us with asthma

Doctor checkup yesterday
After being forgotten in the exam room ...1 hour later nurse had to locate the doctor, who wasn't even in the building...... anyway, found that my echo and blood work to be very good. I was told...and I kind of thought this as well, that what I was feeling in my chest were pvcs...not Afib. Not concerned

I’m going crazy
Backstory: have had occasional heart palpitations since I was 15 years old. Changing in frequency and feeling. I turn 23 tomorrow and have never felt this bad. I’ve had tons of ekgs, echos, holter monitor, blood tests, you name it. Been to a few cardiologists that have told me my palpitations are benign

PVC’s or ectopic beats
Hi, I was diagnosed with paroxysmal afib at 43 in 2017 and had catheter ablation in March this year. Afib returned for a couple of hours twice but was in the 3 month blanking period so was ok. Stopped the flecainide and verapamil 2 months after procedure as advised by surgeon and need to say it feels
